They were packaged nicely (a few wet crystals wrapped in plastic) and arrived in good condition. Leaf fragments have not fallen from bamboo or bamboo pieces have not been damaged. The stalks of bamboo are braided as shown in the picture. Although the stalks and leaves are abnormally pale and "sickly", these are very visible. You should be cautious if you are planning to buy this item for the vase illustrated. There was a green vase with a red heart on it sent to me. As a lover of braided bamboo, I have purchased it multiple times, but when I purchased this item, I wanted it for a vase more than anything else. A seller sent me another vase with a red heart upon request, which is identical to the vase pictured. Now I have two identical red heart vases that I dislike. The vase pictured is still on my wish list, but I was unable to obtain it.
