Questions & Answers

If the color on these will wear off with time, why are they painted instead of sprayed on? Is it just me that thinks this is deceptive?

It doesn't look like I painted my abditas red. The color looks like it was fed something in order to turn out that way In a similar way to hydrangeas, depending on the acidity and alkalinity of the soil, they are pink or blue (this is my best mental analogy) In time, the red "grows out" naturally in the center of the leaf so that new growth from the center is green, while the red remains on the edge of the leaf where it was originally. These don't have any paint on them. These are very pretty with the red on them. I've had them for a very long time.

What are the chances of them staying red for a long time?

Flowers are painted on this wall. I soaked a few of them and then gently rubbed them to loosen some paint. I turned them all green after a while. Red blushes naturally appear in them when placed in bright light for just the right amount of time, but these do not come from their natural state. In order to make the blushing look more apparent, they are painted. My honest opinion is that it is quite deceiving.

The leaves are naturally red at what time of year?

It may be just me, but mine came in red and continued to be that way. There are maroon and red tones to them, not bright red.

How much sunlight do these plants require?

Don't expose yourself to the sun directly. These Tillandsia's are some of the most sensitive. The best lighting for them is either just to the side of a South-facing window or on the south side of a As a result, never let them be exposed to direct sunlight, but make sure they are always reflected from the window. Also, clean water baths are needed between 30-35 days. The session lasts for 60 minutes. A good air circulation is necessary once a week. The plants on my balcony are all healthy.

This is not a product you should buy
3/5

There is no doubt that these are It is easy to pick off the paint. That's what jerks are like. It is wrong for Amazon to allow liars, such as this, to use its site.

It is clear that the color has been spray painted.

"Long lasting color" is not real red, instead, it is a synthetic color
3/5

My mistake was failing to read the fine print and seeing that these plants are not My plants have literally been in this house for two weeks now and after soaking, I touched one of their leaves and the paint literally rolled right off. Now, they look pretty weird. I would advise anyone trying to sell these plants to place "ARTIFICIALLY COLORED" where people will see, it is very misleading. This should be refunded in its entirety or I will write a blog post on the seller, who I am extremely unhappy with. Spray painting plants is not safe for anyone, no matter how many people think it is.

Plants were so small that they were almost invisible
3/5

These people were not representative of the state. Plants were so small that they were almost invisible. The plants pictured in the photos weren't the same as the ones in the book. I am very disappointed. My inquiry to the seller was not answered. I asked the seller to send.

I love it
5/5

As of now, they are absolutely gorgeous just from the arrival of my new little friends. Even after scrubbing I am certain there is no paint on them. They seem natural to me. When they offer a 30 day money back guarantee, and I receive them super fast in the mail, I don't see why you would hesitate to order. They hold up really well so I will purchase again if they don't die too soon. THE UPDATE IS I AM PLEASED TO TELL YOU THAT MY LITTLE FRIENDS ARE STILL GROWING GREATLY MONTHS LATER! OH MY GOD, THIS IS WORTH BUYING! Update 19 - I have had two little guys die on me recently, and they others seem to have taken a bad turn The two of them lasted a few months overall.

My only regret is that I didn't take more time
5/5

Anyway, I haven't done that yet. I love it. I cannot believe how cool these things are. Although mine appears to have been spray painted, why did I give it five The first thing I noticed about these is that they are just beautiful. The pieces are each like their own showpiece. There is no graffiti spray, since this is floral paint The description explicitly states that the item is painted. We do not know how many people read that far, or even if they do. In any case. Due to the fact that they are not currently blushing naturally, it seems they are being sprayed. The next three weeks are up to them if they don't turn in their work After about four months, that's a different story, but I figure I should be able to achieve that under normal growing conditions. My fingers are crossed because I see the beginnings of natural tips on a couple. In addition, one might also notice that the paint looks similar to what is used on succulents in the big box stores, but more natural in appearance. My personal opinion is that the spray is not offensive at all. It's a real treat to see them. As a result of reading reviews, I was surprised at how healthy and hardy my plants were. It was absolutely the right decision for me AWESOME! I have no regrets at all!.

This is all I can think about right now
5/5

I was so happy to see these darling plants arrive in such good Like we had promised, the reds were beautiful. Getting the free download for the care was very great for me, and I found it to be extremely useful. After soaking and drying all of the boas (after their soak and drying) I attached them to an old wooden burl I had used for my boas years ago (with hot glue). The plant looks so pretty now that it is sitting on my kitchen window sill in the bright light (no Colorado is so arid that I fine mist the plants every other day with filtered room temperature water. Several of the pictures were sent to my sister, who also wants to see them. However, when she tried to order the same ones, she realized they don't ship to Canada / . (We have decided that she will select the varieties she wants later this summer, I will order them, and bring them to her on my next visit in September. It took me just a short time to order more and a variety of them. have become obsessed with Air Plants and can't get enough. I appreciate you getting addicted to this new thing.

I love the colors and they are doing great! I love them in pretty much any size
5/5

Sometimes there's a little color, but 1 out of more than a dozen. Throughout my home and office, I have numerous globes hanging from the ceilings and walls. Although they ARE the most noticeable, these Red Abditas are not the only ones. This seems like it would be the easiest- Keep in mind Air plants that are alive are also available. The kinds of items I'm collecting have varied quite a bit for a couple of years now We have been doing this now for a few years. The sensitivity of some types is different from that of All my air plants get at least a little misting after their baths of rain water collected from the roof over their heads, so I do try to remember to mist them The water is occasionally heated a bit with water from the tap or a filtered water source. Water that has been filtered and rain water have a noticeable difference. In their opinion, things that come from the sky, or at least from my roof, are the best. Taking a bath every 2 weeks seems like a bit of a stretch, but we've done it since I started misting sporadically. These may need to be purchased again after I return from holidays with family!.
