It is not required to be refrigerated. The pouch, like salsa, is a shelf-stable product. It keeps for a few days in the refrigerator after being opened and mixed with avocados to make guacamole, but it's so delicious that we always eat it right away.

So I tried it in the packet and I'm just as happy with it as I was with the jar product. I made a big batch for a Christmas get-together with the family. together. When it came time to leave, there was not a drop left. The flavor is a hit with everyone. I also appreciate how simple it is to put together. You're done once you've figured out where the avocados are. To keep the dip from browning, I recommend leaving it out overnight and covering it with plastic wrap directly on top of the dip, not over the bowl.
I still haven't cracked open the package - Unfortunately, due to the polar temperatures, my order arrived completely frozen, so I'm hoping there was no need to pack it any differently than usual. Aside from that, I prefer mild food, so I use four avocados instead of two as directed on the package, and my guacamole still has plenty of 'kick' and flavor when it's finished. My family and friends adore it, so when I run out and can't find it in stores, I order it online.
This is by far the best "packet" for making homemade guacamole that I've ever tried. Much better than the powdered versions commonly found in supermarkets. I combine one packet with four avocados, a small amount of red onion, and a pinch of salt, and serve.
It's one of our all-time favorites.
This is my favorite product, but it costs twice as much as grocery store brands. This particular item is no longer available at the store where I shop.
Meh. It's all right. The other brand, I believe, has a superior flavor.
I love this product and make fantastic guacamole with it.
This is always my favorite stuff.
