This package is still in use even though I bought it in October and I only opened it in the middle of the month The year started in November, but now it's March Dec. is kind of a short shelf life, but it's still quite good.

One thing I would suggest is to stir it slowly when you open it the first time It requires a bit of separation before you use it for the first time, and if you have a tendency to overexert, you can do so You might splash or spill a bit of the watery/thin layer on top, as I am often eager. You should mix it slowly to incorporate it, and also scrape the really creamy stuff from the foil covering into the tub before you stir it in. It'll be delicious and you should not have to stir it again much (if at all) until you've finished it. Very highly recommended, no doubt. It was delicious.
It is by far the best sour cream I have ever tasted. As I'm looking for an organic alternative to Horizon milk, I liked the organic Horizon milk products. Sour cream is one of the best parts of a meal, it is very rich, creamy, velvety and delicious. It works best because it is full fat and you do not need to use a lot (and studies have shown that full fat is in fact good for you). In addition, full fat foods have a longer shelf life than low fat foods, so we like buying this because it is available for a long period of time. The product is of great quality.
