This product can become rancid over time, since it is dry and will deteriorate over time. It is certain that freezing would increase life expectancy.

When mixing it, how do you do ?

Mix 3 parts water and 5 parts sour cream powder together to make our Extra Tangy Sour Cream. In this case, you will get about 1/2 cup of sour cream if you use the teaspoon method. Please accept my sincere thanks!

Sorry about that! The consistency isn't as good as it could be. The only time I use this is when I bake This means that consistency is not really important.

In what way does this "extra zesty" sour cream powder differ from the "premium" kind?

This flavor is more pronounced and pleasing to my palate because of its more pronounced flavor. Maybe the Seller can enlighten both of us? I believe both to be premium items, but perhaps the Seller can confirm that for us?

It's a BOOM! I was blown away by how tangy this was! You're the best! Ordering this for the first time, I wasn't quite sure what to expect

The powdered sour cream I was hoping for was similar to the powdered sour cream I had on hamburger helps from the past. As it arrived, I took a spoonful, hopeful, but not confident I would be able to enjoy it. And how did you find it? At first, it didn't seem to be much of a taste. I then heard a loud KABOOM about 3 seconds later! It's one of the smoothest and most pleasant things you'll taste this century! Sour cream flavor explodes in your mouth with a tangy punch, and you won't want it to end! This is a magnificent piece of art. The only thing I wish was that it would be more noticeable when mixed with some foods. However, I was not able to notice as much of a difference in some dishes as I had imagined. It's great for other things. I am extremely satisfied with this product and I highly recommend it to any sour cream lover.

A taste for good food I find it to be very easy to use as well! In most recipes I have tried, this product works quite well as a substitution for sour cream

As a variation, I kept a batch of kefir recipe that was not as tart as I like and added it when making a sour cream replacement for my beef stroganoff recipe. I particularly appreciate that I can make fresh batches daily in the exact quantities that I need. Each of the products I have tried from Hoosier Hill Farm has been well done - I have been impressed every time I have used them. The same is true for this one as well!.

I would buy it again. I was surprised by how good it was as it was prepared according to the directions There is no sour cream taste to this. I don't know for sure. My first taste was of an interesting but good flavor, and since then, I've paired it with pasta sauce and eggs and I'm addicted! The product is excellent and I will purchase it again. You can eat this plain, but don't expect it to taste like sour cream if you expect it to be plain. Even though I haven't used half of it yet, I am ordering more for what it brings to my.

My sour cream was very disappointing from the time of my Best Buy purchase Have you received it since the end of Feb 2018 and it expires on May 30th this year? I purchased other Hoosier products around the same time, the one I have been using was great until at least Jan 2019.

It's pretty good for powdered, and is easy to use in place of running to the store. However, for the price it doesn't last very long. I bought the economy two pound jar since one pound went quickly. The amount of time you waste depends on your level of laziness. Despite being the worst, I still think it is worth it.

I don't need a refrigerator, so why would I want one? The addition of a few tablespoons will add more depth and richness to foods including macaroni and cheese, beef stroganoff, and potatoes au gratin
