How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

OUR CENTER DOZEN Our core dozen of Vital Farms Pasture-Raised Eggs are large and brown, Grade A eggs that come from small family farms and give you a delicious meal rich in protein.
In pasture-raised poultry, each hen enjoys a space of at least 108 square feet, with access to fresh grass and sunshine.
We use fresh air and sunshine to produce each Vital Farms egg, and each of our hens has access to local grasses, succulents, and wildflowers at all times of the year.
WORTH TRYING We bet you'll be able to taste the difference whether you eat any of these items fried, poached, scrambled, or baked into something sweet.
WE STARTED AS SINGLE FAMILY FARMS We started out as small family farms. In the current market, we partner with more than 200 family farms that provide our hens with a natural environment.
A year round outdoor access to pasture is essential for pasture-raised eggs that are laid by hens that spend their days roaming the pastures according to their desires.
A pesticide-free pasture Our pastures are never sprayed with pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers.

Questions & Answers

It doesn't seem like I get the beautiful orange yolk they used to have when I order the eggs the last few times. The color has now become more yellow. They changed their standards, did they not?

In addition to diet, the type of grain that's fed to the hen also affects the egg yolk's color. Yellow yolks with a darker color are caused by the presence of corn in the feed ration, while white yolks with a lighter color are caused by wheat being a larger part of it. According to the management technique employed by the farmer, the percentages can vary significantly.

The eggs from vital farms are good after the "sell by" date, but how long do they last?

After the date of sale, the eggs remain fresh for a couple of weeks. Putting your eggs in a container of water for at least four inches will allow you to determine whether they are still good. In order to determine if the eggs are bad, they must float to the top. A sinking vessel is a good vessel. In order to be eaten quickly, they need to stand upright on their tips.

What is the chicken diet like? Do they eat any soy?

She's a millenial who thinks that what she says is valuable because anything she says comes from the creative side of her mind

Is soy fed to these animals?

Soy is fed to them, yes. According to the company, the answer is clearly stated on their website. The alternative answer to your question is meaningless. In addition to being soy, you should also expect that it is GMO because it is not organic or The hipsters are just lured in with a pretty package.

Eggs are like the Rolls Royce of food
5/5

It is my pleasure to introduce to you the best tasting commercial eggs available on I have a chicken coop in the backyard. This egg yolk has a deep orange color and is set high on the surface. Egg whites are firm and buttery. They taste rich and buttery. This is how I make my scrambled eggs or omelets when I'm in a hurry. Can you boil eggs in water? Wow! I wish I could use it for baking, but I probably won't. That would be a waste of good material. When the days progress from spring to summer, I notice the yolks become deeper Egg yolks look paler in winter, whereas in summer they are darker. Folks, this is nothing to worry about. It depends on the type of food the chickens eat what color the yolks are. During the summer, grass, greenery, and bugs are more readily available for the hens to eat. It is also not uncommon for them to give the hens supplements during the winter. Exactly the same thing happens in my backyard with the Throughout the summer, I feed my hens a lot of grass and alfalfa as well as bugs - It will be virtually impossible to grow grass in the winter because of the spectacular eggs they lay As a result, I have to force them to eat alfalfa pellets (they don't like dried hay) and mealworms in order to get the same quality eggs as any other chickens in midwest. It is quite convenient to have outdoor eggs if you don't have your own chickens in your backyard. Delicious!.

The organic process is not organic
3/5

There is no organic element to these, my fault. I should have read the description of the product carefully. It must be said that I found a blood drop in each box I cracked open. Even though I know these are edible, I was not interested in eating.

I do not understand how GMO's can be sold at premium prices! I agree, yolks are beautiful
3/5

However, these eggs are GM, so you might want to look for.

What do you think of these eggs? Were they the best I have ever had? Not at all
3/5

The eggs are just what they are. Well, I heard so much about these eggs that I decided to give them a try. They received glowing reviews about how delicious the snacks are, how wonderful the orange yoghurt is (in the summer), and how healthy and cruelty-free they are. In a cardboard carton about the thickness of an index card, my eggs were smashed when they arrived. Having two eggs, one egg, and one egg the same, I attribute that Do you think seven out of a dozen is enough? Are you sure? Throughout many reviews, this complaint of the packaging has been echoed. We used too thin plastic cartons before, and we're using too thin cartons now. When you pay five and a half dollars for a carton, you'd think they could afford the thick cardboard cartons the cheaper grocery store eggs are packaged in. That works out to less than three dollars per carton for me. Anyway, my annoyance about being unable to utilize 58% of my purchase aside, here's what I need to do How much better do they taste? It's not happening. Their flavor is similar to that of Does the yolk have an orange color rather than a pale yellow hue? Yes, that's right. They are brown eggs, but they are not white. The orange color is also present in brown eggs from the grocery store. Are these items that I'm likely to buy Not at all. For an egg that tastes the same but is packaged so poorly that more than half of the purchase ends up in the trash, I can't justify the price. Yes, someone else pointed out the same thing in their review In comparison to what I'm used to, the shell is much thinner. The moral compass in your mind would say you should buy these animals because they are less cruel, or because they eat healthier food for you and your family, then sure, buy them! As a matter of fact, I much prefer to pay for what I actually get Fresh eggs and other eggs I purchase from this company arrive unbroken and at a lower cost than their competitors.

Chicken that has been raised free range
5/5

Our family prefers Vital Farms over all other egg brands available today. It tastes significantly better than any other egg brand. In spite of the fact that Vital Farm black carton eggs are not even labeled organic, they are of better quality than the organic large brown eggs at Costco.

I like the eggs a lot! Have you ever wished for the yolks that were deep yellow in the past? The best way to feed chickens a more natural diet is to let them out into the wild
5/5

Exercise and sunshine, as well as a few insects here and there, make a chicken more content. I find it difficult to deny them a better life if they live an unkinder, gentler one. Those who do not know that some chickens are not allowed to sleep at night in the hope that constant light will boost egg production may not realize that. There is an overabundance of The crowding and lack of anything else but a "prepared" meal diet is an unnatural life for them, all in the hope of making even more money. As a result, we recommend the following brand Better for the chickens because they are able to live a better life, and it's better for us because the eggs contain more nutrients!.

You can have your very own chickens with this! "Cage free" is another marketing technique you will find out when you do a bit of research
5/5

The reason you should only eat pastured eggs is because they are more nutritious. difficult to shell out (pun while commercial eggs cost less than a dollar per dozen. It may cost you $1000, but the positive effects on your health are definitely worth it! Furthermore, the chickens are in a more humane environment by default, so it's well worth.

Those are the best eggs I have ever eaten
5/5

No matter how much I tried, I could not taste the difference between a "normal" brown egg and an "organic" egg. In my family, my mom usually buys expensive natural eggs that she says taste good but I have never been able to figure out just what they contain. I find this one to be so delicious! To be able to control myself, I can't consume more than two daily. Whether I cook these more carefully or if they behave the way I want them to may be due to their high cost, but they always behave the way I want- Eggs don't bubble up when I make sunny side up eggs as much as white eggs at the grocery store. It has happened to me that I have forgotten to eat a lot of eggs, but never this kind because it is so delicious. I also came across some videos detailing how chickens are not treated with proper food when they lay eggs just to save money. They basically live off garbage since no one wants to eat As well as tasting delicious, pasture-raised meats also have a number of other benefits I think chicken raised on pasture sounds more humane.
