The taste of this product reminds me a lot of "traditional" cheese, and it's not that close to the taste of nutritional yeast. I use it a lot and purchase it frequently. Although I enjoy nutritional yeast as well, I prefer this when I want a delicious Parmesan.

Is it possible that so many positive reviews were written about this unspeakably disgusting topping? It is unfortunate that I have been required to write this critical review in accompanyence with the sweet siren song of praise for this product. You might be tempted to jump into a sea of reviews that gushes about how "too delicious" or "no different from real parmesan" this is or even worse, you might overreact to the more than 1,200 negative reviews on Amazon. You need to know - Cheese, like its king, is not exempt from this rule If you take a dive into this sea of undeserved accolades, you will find yourself tempted to purchase two jars of sawdust. We are a vegan family of five, and we know a thing or two about making meat substitutes work. We love vegan cheeses, hotdogs, and cold cuts, so maybe it's no surprise we are less afraid of them than one might expect. Why is this happening? Our whole team was frightened when we saw this There is nothing like cheese about it. It is unsalable, stinky, and inedible. This product is dairy free, casein free, and lactose A perfect food for those who cannot eat It is perfect for dairy eaters that crave the taste of parmesan. The only problem is for those who cannot have soy, which I do, but not everyone else. I am certain the dairy costs for making it are much higher than your typical cheese products. I paid for quality and I would do so again. I really like how well this replacement works! In my opinion, it is best to use it sparingly, because too much of it can be off-putting. It is solidified into one chunk, so I have to stab it aggressively for a few minutes before I can shake enough crumbs out to make it worth one star.
Since the cheese didn't come out of the jar when I opened it, I took off the lid and discovered that it was packed solid, so hard that I had to take a knife to break it up so I could put it in the blender to be able to shake it out. By the time I received it, I think it was very old, so I am not going to recommend it to anyone.
As real as the real thing, it looks, smells and tastes just like it. A normal person would not know the difference between the packages if they didn't see them.
