I love the taste! The package arrived crumbled by mistake, which I assumed it was. As an alternative, it consists of a chunk Regardless of the utensil, I use it to chip away at it at time to crumble it. The product lasts and tastes better for a long time. I was surprised by the visit.
Later I ordered this stuff, and it tastes almost identical to the other one. There are no words to describe how delicious it is. When you eat it on a quesadilla it melts if you're in the mood for salt. I would recommend this product 100%.
I like it better used for nibbling than for eating on its own, although it melts beautifully and tastes fantastic when eaten that way as well. As your mouth is filled with it, you will taste different flavors- They could also have a salty or sour taste, like parmesan, or a Give it a try for snacking! It's made in USA CA, is a third of the price of Parmigiano Reggiano and is made in USA.
In any case, I am no cotija expert and may learn more when I travel to Mexico in the future, but from what I have tried, this is by far the best. It crumbles well, is salty, and has a surprisingly good flavor. In comparison to other brands, other brands tend to have a rubbery texture and little.
Cheese such as this can't compare to Mexican cheeses such as 365. There is a bad taste in the food. It is very bitter and crumbly. It was a disappointment.
It is the first time I have purchased Corona cheese from any local grocery store in Los Angeles in years and I never came across such a bad piece of cheese. I don't think it deserves to be sold again ((I really do think they need to talk with the supplier about this one.
Even though I do not have high blood pressure, the cheese tasted so salty I could not enjoy my elote.
