I got it for Christmas last year and it was a big deal. The diameter of the ball is about 12 inches round but I am not sure of the exact measurement. A good number of people will fit comfortably at the table.
The interior of the crust is cream in color

It's not just 2 pounds, it's 2 kilograms. Having a real French Brie for such a low price is unbeatable. The package was shipped overnight by Fedex. I was very pleased to receive it in perfect shape. I feel the need to clarify a few things about French Brie after reading some of the reviews. There is a lot of temperature sensitivity with this product. As a fruit ripens, it progresses through different stages. White areas still on the inside (the outside is always white) indicate it's not yet quite ripe, it's not creamy yet and is bland. After there are no more white areas, most people will like it, it is similar to the Supermarket Brie that you can A mildly flavored and softly matured tomato, the inside slowly gets yellower and the wedge will bulge out on the side. This is perfect for those who like a softly ripened and mildly flavored tomato. After that, it just keeps getting funkier and Flavors get stronger and stronger as time goes on. As for the funky stages, there are also fans. This was an acquired taste that I enjoyed acquiring. When it bulges and is perfect, the cheese maker will strive to achieve the "no white inside" stage, and no more.
