In general, it's convenient to have a bulk selection. I chose the vintage mix in the hopes of making 24 to 30 favor bags for my grandmother's 85th birthday, which would represent candies available around 1935. The Mary Janes (which are hard to come by locally or even individually online), the Coconut Long Boys, Slo Pokes, and the mini Chick-Fil-A were the items I was most excited to get. Sticks. And I'm hoping to have enough for at least one of each of those in the bag, plus some filler candies. br>br>In the description, they should say things like "assortment will vary," "may not be as pictured," and/or "may not be in equal proportion. " When some candies are specifically mentioned or depicted in the title, the expectation is that at least some of them will be included in the mix. There was a much higher proportion of readily available food in the mix. candies on hand: Bite-Sized Peanut Butter Bars (Bite-Sized Peanut Butter Bars) Honeys, a plethora of Tootsie Rolls (all of which can be found at my neighborhood dollar store- As a result, there isn't a value in this way. Only about 22 Mary Janes, a good number of Long Boys, no (zero) Black Cows, no Slo Pokes, and less than 20 mini chicks were present. sticks. However, there is a glut of the previously mentioned candies. There were no Butter Cremes and another candy that I didn't care for (the sesame stick-looking one) that were shown in the picture. However, there is one addition that isn't shown in the photo: Carmel Cremes are a type of caramel. br>br>I supplemented with other vintage treats, such as Stage Plank Cookies and Candy Cigarettes (both available on Amazon), as well as vintage favor toys, such as Ball Jacks. And, in the end, great favor bags were created. So, depending on your objectives and expectations, you might be able to succeed. However, they should work on improving the product description to better describe the product and set realistic expectations. br>br>After reading the negative reviews about receiving a bag of melted candies, I kept an eye out for the package to arrive so it wouldn't sit in the sun on the porch. The majority of the candies were in good condition, with only a few that were out of wrapper or melted being discarded.
The bag and description both state that this mix contains tootsie rolls and black cows, but none of those candies are present. There aren't even one or two, let alone none. The bag contains a variety of candies with similar flavors: Caramel, coconut, and a small amount of peanut butter Also, the Mary Janes are about a third the size of the ones shown on the bag (traditional Mary Janes). I'm dissatisfied, and I've only got five pounds to go!.
I am extremely dissatisfied with this product; after opening the bag and dumping out the candy, we discovered that the majority of the candy was unusable - The slo poke, black cow, and mary jane candy had all melted to the point where the candy was stuck to the outside of the wrapper and the wrappers had become stuck together. It had turned into a shambles! We're not going to be able to use these for our party!.
I'm not even going to give it a star. It's not worth the trouble. It contains a large number of unknown/Russian candies. I intended to return it, but there were no returns, so I discarded it. Just be wary of purchasing it!.
candy with a hard texture This "vintage" candy, also known as STALE candy, is a complete rip-off. off, lure- THE AND-SWITCH CANNOT BE RETURNED. Toffee, butterscotch, and rootbeer hard candy, no-name caramels, sesame candy, and Tootsie Rolls make up the majority of the bag. There were no Maryjanes, and only eight peanut bars were available.
I ordered a 5 pound bag, but it only came with 11 black cows and no Mary Janes. There's a bunch of filler candy on the package that isn't listed on the label. If I had known the bag would be so unevenly filled, I would not have spent the money.
The package did not include any black cows or Slopokes. It does not have a peanut butter taffy replacement, but it does have a crappy no-name peanut butter taffy substitute. As a result, you do not get what you pay for.
It's just a bag of penny candy with nothing nostalgic about it. What a FRAUDULENT FRAUDULENT FRAUDULENT FRAUDULENT What you get is not true, as stated in the description. I have a large quantity of hard butterscotch Carmels and peppermint balls. The three Big Hunk (mini) chocolate mallo cups were melted to water and were not edible. NO, Chick, I DIDN'T GET Mary Jane. Mary Jane, Chick-fil-A, Stick, Peanut Butter Bars, Long Boy, Mary Jane, Chick-fil-A, Stick, Peanut Butter Bars, Long Boy, Stick, Peanut Butter Bars, Long Boy Stick, Peanut Butter Bars, Long Boy Coconut, Slo Poke, Black Cow Tales, Tootsie Roll, Bit-O-Honey, Bit-O-Honey, Bit-O-Honey, Bit-O-Honey, Bit-O-Honey, Bit Coconut with honey and caramels, Slo Poke, Black Cow Tales, and Tootsie Roll THESE WERE MADE FOR A GRADUATION PARTY GAME, AND NONE OF THEM ARE WORKING!.
