Yes, Geralyn, our Giant Pixy Stix come in plastic straw packaging.
You've probably noticed that Amazon's prices fluctuate frequently. I used to think it had something to do with stock on hand, but now I believe it's because they're using a "dynamic pricing" algorithm similar to the one used by concert ticket sellers. Who knows what parameters they're working with. When it comes to Ticketmaster, the faster tickets are sold, the higher the price. The principles of supply and demand To Ticketmaster's credit, they are open about their use of it, with a link to an explanation on their website. When shooting Amazon, unless I need something right away, I usually save it to a list, adding a note with the date and the then-current price. current price, as well as adding the item to my cart, and then moving it to the "save for later" section of the cart page. When you do this, it will tell you which items on your list have had a price change, up or down, as well as the amount, every time you look at your cart. Then I sit back and wait for the price to drop. I saved over $130 on a larger-ticket item about a year ago. It had been well worth the wait. If you're a Prime member, you should also be aware that free shipping isn't actually free. This accounts for a small portion of the price, particularly on lower-cost items. It's the same as buying aspirin at a corner store, which is more expensive than buying it at a drug store, which is more expensive than buying it at a big box store. You get what you pay for. Despite Amazon's denials, one of the more nefarious aspects of dynamic pricing has been implemented: customers of various kinds being charged different prices for the same product based on the analysis of a variety of data collected by data-aggregation services search the internet for such information (thank you, Facebook), including psychological theories about shopping and purchasing habits. If you're not familiar with the concept and application of "Dynamic Pricing," do yourself a favor and research it (from a credible source). Please provide a reputable news source. It's an intriguing concept that might make you consider how much and what kind of federal internet regulation is required.
They arrived fresh and ready to eat, as stated in the previous response. We tossed them off a Mardi Gras float, and several of our children ate some of them. They were fine, and SAM's Club sells them for the same price but in smaller quantities. Which is fortunate because I ordered 12 boxes from Amazon and 10 of them were damaged. The candy was fine, but the boxes were torn and falling apart.
Depending on how quickly the seller and Amazon can get them in stock.

I got these for Halloween and didn't give them much thought, but most kids have small buckets, so they weren't as popular. The smaller ones will be my choice next year. I thought I'd bring it up in case anyone else was considering it:.
Discouraged - These aren't huge; they're about the size of a large straw (imagine a giant drink straw from a convenience store) rather than the 3 foot, large diameter size I expected. This year, I hoped to wow my trick-or-treaters once more. Wha, wha, wha, wha, wha, wha, wha, wha, wha, wha, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, Pixy is shown next to a regular drinking straw in this photograph. br>br>******* The seller's headline when I bought these was "Giant Pixie Stix. ".
There is a thin layer of pixi sugar on the surface, but I can't imagine how this product could be without it. This is a fantastic deal, and I'm sorry I didn't get it for Halloween last year. In addition, the expiration date is several years after the purchase date. Don't overthink it like I did; just go ahead and buy them. They're extremely valuable.
These Pixy Stix straws are a great way to have some fun. br>br>Each of the four stick colors is associated with a distinct flavor:
- Purple grape flavor, similar to a light grape sodabr>- Orange, a delicious orange flavorbr>- br>- Cherry flavor is red and strong. These larger 14-inch Pixy Stix paper straws have a blue, indistinct "blue" flavor that is vaguely reminiscent of fruit punch. br>br>Unlike the smaller Pixy Stix paper straws, these larger 14-inch Pixy Stix paper straws have a blue, indistinct "blue" flavor that is vaguely reminiscent of fruit punch Each of the inch plastic straws has a generous amount of flavored sugar (dextrose) (approximately a heaping tablespoon). br>br>The straws are heat-resistant. To seal them, they were crimped on both ends. However, if one of the ends isn't crimped perfectly, some sugar may leak out during shipping. If this happens, one of the box's straws will be devoid of sugar. br>br>Despite the fact that they were well received by all, I am hesitant to purchase them again due to the amount of plastic used. I'd prefer the straws to be wax-coated. Instead, use coated paper.
I stapled the "from" name tag to the top of the pixie stick top, and each child got two large pixie sticks! LOVES that are popular in both of my sons' classrooms!.
During the Halloween season, our house is known as the Pixy Stix house. We've been handing out Pixy Stixs for almost two decades. We used to buy the bigger size Stixs from big box stores. Larger straws, on the other hand, are no longer manufactured. The Halloween treat is a big hit with the kids. I'm so glad I came across them through this vendor. I've signed up for the scheduled delivery to ensure we get enough Stix; we'll need between 250 and 500. For Halloween, 300 people are needed.
I'm a teacher, and I enjoy being able to surprise each of my students with a small gift on their birthday. These are the perfect little treat if you're looking for something affordable, especially since I have about 44 students per year. They love it when I print out a birthday balloon to put on top! The only drawback is that most of the sticks on the OUTSIDE are coated in candy dust, which can make them a little messy. But, aside from that, I've used these for birthdays every year and they're always a hit!.
Who doesn't enjoy sugar in its purest form? These are the largest pixy stix available because the really big ones are no longer available. You only need to push in on the two sides of the seal to get it to pop open if you pull the ends off correctly; scissors are not required. It will no longer work if you try to open it by placing it in your mouth first. For an 85 pack, this is a great deal. Please, yes!.
