5 Gum Sugarfree Gum, Spearmint Rain, 35-stick pack (6 packs total)

Peppermint isn't my cup of tea. I've only opened one package so far, but I'm hoping for Spearmint in the others. The packaging and overall appearance are unmistakably peppermint, as is the scent and taste. It's unclear whether the problem stemmed from a manufacturing flaw, an oversight, or a storage issue. In any case, I'm stuck with 210 sticks of gum that I can't chew. I believe the same machinery is used for peppermint and spearmint gum, and either it isn't cleaned out enough between batches, or the first bit of every run after a peppermint run is polluted? This has happened to me with other brands in the past. I think I'm just allergic to peppermint.

This order, as well as another from a different vendor, had the flavor changed from spearmint to peppermint, which I despise. Wrigley confirmed that the formula had been changed, but there was no word on whether they would return to the original. I looked at the packaging and this particular ad, but there was no mention of a new formula. I'm guessing that the vendors aren't aware of the situation.

For years, I've preferred 5 Gum spearmint rain. All of the packages had been removed from the cellophane wrapper, and the box had been destroyed when my order arrived. I opened one of the packages and tried a piece of gum, as I didn't buy the gum for its appearance. Chewing on a piece of leather felt like chewing on a piece of rubber. Amazon is hoping to find a new FRESH 5 gum supplier.

Is gum something you enjoy? If that's the case, you'll most likely enjoy this. This is a fantastic offer on delicious gum. There's a lot of gum in this package. I should have known better than to sign up for monthly deliveries because there is a LOT of gum. Gum.

Fortunately, Amazon has our top five sugar-free picks. There isn't much else to say except that the gum is good, the prices are reasonable, and with subscribe and save, you only get your refills once a month. It's also simple to cancel a month's subscription if you don't require it.

I really like the flavor; it's not at all like peppermint, as some of the other reviewers claimed. I'm sure I'll buy it again.
