They seem sour to us, don't they? It depends on your taste buds. I find they begin sweet, then tang starts, and the saliva glands are awakened toward the end of the movie. A good way to describe the taste is as 'tangy' as possible. The only reason I rated them lower is the fact that while they look like Starburst, they're not as silky and chewy as they appear to be. Even though they're soft, the mouth feel doesn't feel as good as Starburst, so if you're a Starburst fan you might be disappointed. I love cherries, but out of 20 candy choices, only 4 contained cherries and 3 contained apples, all of the rest contained mixed berries. However, the mixed berry and apple flavors (especially the apple!) had a chemical edge to them that came out primarily at the aftertaste. Luckily, I happened to order the cherry flavor at the same time. I recommend it if you like tangy fruity candies. Each person is different in their taste and texture sensibilities, so I advise trying two or three samples myself.
