The instructions are printed on the top lid of each box, so I'm not sure why the image(s) displayed do not include them. Empty the packet into a bowl and pour in 1/2 cup boiling water, according to the instructions.

NOT grits and instant salt! Why companies believe customers can't season their own instant foods with their OWN seasonings and load them up with SALT is a mystery to me! The grits were supposed to be flavored MY WAY, but the product's value was completely ruined by the amount of salt it contained. This company also sells flavored grits for those who want to be poisoned by too much salt and other flavorings, but I had hoped that the plain grits would not be as salty as the flavored grits, which can be salted after cooking if desired. What an EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE! Yuck. The grits were perfect on their own, but the company screwed up. UGH, I'm all messed up.
Because of the pandemic, availability was extremely limited, I only docked one star for price. Local grocery stores, as well as the other online stores I frequent, had been sold out for weeks. Apart from the cost, there are a few other factors to consider. It's instant grits from Quaker. I have a salt sensitivity, but these don't seem overly salty to me. I tried the butter flavor a few years ago and found it to be too salty! I used to make a mixture of one butter flavor and one original flavor. The cheese flavor was not as salty as I had expected.
This is my third purchase of the three-box set. When I forget to get grits at the store, I usually buy it. The boxes were all smashed in and wrapped in plastic before being delivered on time. The boxes appeared to have been smashed by something heavy. In the first box I opened, the grits packages were fine. We'll have to wait and see what the other two have in store for us.
