Questions & Answers

My request is to have polenta made from organic and gluten-free ingredients. Do you know if this product is gluten-free?

contains none of the gluten that is present in wheat and other gluten-containing products, however, not all corn meal is free of gluten in case it has been milled in a factory that also mills wheat and other gluten-containing The problem with dust and such is that they tend to spread. It is worth noting that Bob's makes a completely gluten-free polenta. The facility they use to process gluten free grains and products has its own separate control systems. You can find Bob's gluten free polenta on Amazon. Labels make it clear where to find them.

What is the difference between this polenta and polenta Is it GMO?

This company pledges that none of their products are genetically modified on its website. Furthermore, they state that there is a non-discrimination policy The seal on their products indicates that the products do not contain GMOs. While buying the product, I was not able to see this

The best grits ever
5/5

Those reading reviews of this product may become confused if they come across statements that the product needs 20 to 60 minutes of time A 20-ounce pouch of polenta should be ready in 30 minutes. Polenta is not to be confused with Grits if you are not familiar with the Italian dish. The preparation process is greatly slowed down as a result. The directions for making Polenta just above this recipe can be found in the box entitled "Cooking Instructions For Cereal Three parts water to one part Corn Grits are called for in this recipe. Grits are supposed to be cooked by bringing the water to a boil, adding them to the boiling water, and then reducing the heat for five An individual who is creating Grits takes no longer than 5 minutes, and they don't need to prepare it in advance In Georgia, I have eaten grits my whole life. Common brands found here are Dixie Lily, Jim Dandy, and Quaker Instant Grits. As a native of Georgia, I have been eating grits all my life. In my experience, I have never noticed a significant difference between brands after consuming prodigious amounts of all of In light of the growing body of scientific research that reveals the serious negative impacts of genetically engineered foods on human health, I became concerned about the corn used in these products being GMO (Genetically Modified Organism). Bob's Red Mill Grits, which are organic, are free of GMO corn, so I was able to get those. As a long time consumer of grits (I am now 51), and as someone who enjoys them a lot, I am a little bit bemused that I did not learn about Organic Grits a lot earlier in my life. It tastes far superior to the store brands I grew up with that were highly refined, GMO, and containing a lot of sodium. I was concerned after reading reviews that they would take much longer to cook than Instant Grits found in local stores, but they only took a few minutes longer to cook than the Instant Grits. Using Organic Grits does not significantly increase preparation time, and the end result in taste, texture, and appearance is much better than conventional grits. Typically I only buy one carton of grits every couple of weeks, but I ordered 5 boxes (20 bags) over the weekend, and I will be ordering Grits like these are some of the best I have ever had. I have updated On the third My experience with these organic grits is that I have now consumed four bags all by myself, and I am continually replenishing my supply since I do not want to run out. The ratio I use is usually 4 parts water to 1 part grits in order to get the finest grits. I have found that using 3 parts water to 1 part grits results in grits that are too thick for my taste. I use 1/4 cup of grits and 1 cup of water to make my breakfast. It takes less than three minutes to cook them in my microwave, and I add a couple of eggs served over easy, some sauteed onions, jalapenos, and cheese on top, and it makes for an excellent.

Mamaliga he makes sure to make! Eastern Europeans are the origins of our polenta (or mamaliga)
5/5

There are many different kinds of polenta and it can be very hard, medium, soft, or anything in between. Individual households might have different taste preferences based on their location or their region. Any style seems to be able to be accommodated at Bob's. There's no doubt that the taste is excellent, as is the grind consistency. The best part of this is that it is organic and reasonably priced. It is Bob's suggestion that you stir it frequently while it simmers for 30 minutes. Test the recipe by stirring it for around 5 minutes, and then cover it with a lid. Put it on the bottom of a stainless steel pot and let it stick to the bottom (assuming a steel pot is thick and deep). When the polenta has been simmering for 30 minutes or so, take it out and prepare it as you like. In addition to this crust stuck to the bottom, there will be a lot of soot in the pan. Adding some milk and bringing that to a boil will enhance its flavor. you have a good quality pan, then everything should have come apart by now, and you are going to have some really good smoky corn. I like milk because of its smoothness. It's time to bring back memories of grandma!
I forgot to mention that over there they say that the moment a girl learns how to make polenta she's ready to get married. It looks like my wife is ready to go The mamaliga she makes with this is wicked! Although I know now what to do As far as polenta is concerned, I am no longer following Paleo. I suppose once in a while you can have a good cheat.

Take the time to carefully read the description We are talking about QUICK grits here
3/5

My history of purchasing Bob's Red Mill Grits is quite lengthy (many years old). I have always opted for the organic, medium, or course grains. There is no mention on the package front that these are quick grits, so I do not like them. In the description of my order I would have missed it if it had been them. After about 3 weeks, when my 4 paks arrived, I was so glad to have them back Upon turning the package over to check the water to grits ratio, I found that the time it takes to cook the food is only 5 minutes. There is no Quick on the labeling anywhere on the back of the package, which leads me to think that someone just mislabeled it. My instant pot is set to oats and I cooked the oats that way as well. Therefore, the results are not as desirable as they should be. This is a crumbling texture, not a creamy one. It will be important for me to be careful with the remaining 3 packs. Whenever I make a purchase I will certainly read the front and back of it. In order to be able to tell what we are getting on the front of the package, Bob's Red Mill needs to correct the package label. In addition, the title of the Amazon page should be improved.

This grain is an excellent source of Can you tell me what you have to There's nothing to like about them Corn flour is ground, and you can make grits or polenta by boiling it with water, milk or broth
5/5

The recipe makes a filling, inexpensive starch for a meal if you follow the directions. I add orange cheese toward the end when I cook it with half milk and half water. You have to be very careful when cleaning up this stuff). Similarly, if you wish to avoid lumps, you should slowly pour the dry grits into the boiling liquid and stir the whole time. It took me about 25 minutes to make grits from scratch this way, so I started them before I put on the potatoes. It's amazing how much product you can get with this particular configuration (4 24-in. It's mind-blowing to think about the 8-ounce packages) This is mind-blowing You should keep them in the fridge so that they do not go I appreciate that the package says it is made from organic corn. In addition to instructions for cooking the dish, it contains tips for those new to this Mediterranean One thing I know for sure is that once s/he tries these grits, s/he will never want gummy, pasty, gritty gruel again The instant kinds (or horrid horrors, those prepared polenta tubes! You will never have to deal with) The time it takes to make grits right is worth it.
