Having Polenta as a staple item in the house was really important to me. The brand of polenta I used was a good one and I use it quite often - I am not sure why it was so much higher than usual - I would never pay that much for a bag though.
Our pantry has earned itself a home for this food item in a nice clear plastic container. "Container worthy" is a strong phrase that describes this product well Recent weekends have become a tradition around our house, and we always have grits on hand. I grew up not liking grits, and my husband never did. Although they were fine, I never thought they were This has been the case until now They are both very much loved by us. Cooking them up smooth and creamy (with cream and cheese) is their signature. We love to add diced bell pepper, onion, and garlic to our sauce The top is topped with jalapeos. It is too early to serve them as polenta for dinner. We won't' be able to make them until then. The main reason we eat them all at breakfast is that they are so good. However, they do seem like they would hold up well to Oh, my god! As well as a bonus They are also a hit with our toddler, despite the fact that he is somewhat picky.
There's nothing hand-spun about this, but it's also very good. A few diced tomatoes, an onion, or both with a dash of non-fat Greek yogurt usually finishes the dish off Pepper jack cheese that is shredded from dairy. A pinch of air is all that's needed - A little bit of salt and pepper mix and some dried sea salt. You will feel like you are I enjoy it a lot!.
The bag was bought in May of 2020 and only finished a year later on February 14th, 21. This is my top choice over Quaker quick grits, because these cook up so well, every time. The texture of these is great, they are not too gritty. Adding cheese and a little cream cheese to them and adding old bay with salt and pepper to make them perfect. For me, the best method to use when cooking is half water and half milk. You can grab them anyway.
Stone ground grits have a delicious flavor and texture regardless of their style, whether you're serving them "porridge" style, like with Shrimp and Grits, or polenta style, cut and lightly fried, served with a melted cheese sauce. And last but not least, Bob's Red Mill Grits are an excellent value for the price.
Despite the fact that a number of brands have robust flavors, this is the one that stands out. It used to be that I preferred Dixie Lily, but now I like this one The yellow grits are hard to find these days, so now it seems like one has to pay an extra amount, as a specialty item, for corn that was once.
It was a mistake for me to think this product was stone ground. Although these grits are OK, they don't taste any different from instant grits, which as far as I can tell are **By the way, the oatmeal is really good with this brand as well.
