I've been eating Cheerios since I was a small child, and I still enjoy them as a breakfast cereal. Cheerios were my favorite cereal as a kid growing up in the 1980s, and it was pretty much all my mother bought because it didn't have any sugar. This was before the advent of flavored or sugared Cheerios. My mother would not buy them for me if they were, or if they were, she would not buy them for me if they were. But, being the stubborn and determined adolescent that I was, I sprinkled table sugar on top of my Cheerios. These frosted Cheerios bring back childhood memories for me. but it's even better because you're not dealing with unmelted table sugar granules. Because of the sugar content, I probably wouldn't include these in my diet on a regular basis, but boy, are they tasty!.
I wasn't able to detect any flavor. When I first opened the box, I noticed a small hole in the bag. I'll be exchanging it for a new one. This appears to be a problem with the manufacturer rather than with Amazon. Another reviewer complained that theirs tasted stale, implying that they had a hole in their bag and were unaware of it.
I tried to make sure I got a big box, but even "Family Size" isn't big enough for most people to finish in one sitting. So the price was reasonable, but the issue was the terrible taste; the "frosting" appeared to be old, and the cereal itself tasted stale. Very let down.
For my "military" grandchildren who live outside the United States, I buy cereal and snacks. and only have to eat American snacks and cereal, the majority of which are either unavailable or prohibitively expensive to obtain where they are. The best part is that Amazon will cover the shipping costs! There were no complaints, but there were a lot of thank-yous. yous. Please let us know how much you enjoyed this review.
If you like frosted flakes, I'd say it's definitely the Cheerios version, but the flavor isn't as strong as the flakes version. However, I think it still tastes good and is a nice change of pace from the honey nut version.
Excellent price/quality ratio. At my local supermarket, I was able to get a nice big family size for the cost of a regular size. It has a pleasant flavor, but it could be a little less sweet. Frosted Flakes (Tony the Tiger) are less sweet than this.
Finally, the flavors that taste great were better than the frosted Cheerios than the Gas Station. There's no need for any additional sugar. General Mills, have you received your stimulus check yet? If you're a Hermit and want to vote by mail, Trump will give you an update soon.
