Questions & Answers
I'll only use Bosco chocolate syrup in my milk and on my ice cream. Since I was a child, I have been a fan. Mom used to make malteds for us when we were kids. She mixed a powder malt (chocolate), Bosco, and milk in a blender-type machine we dubbed the malted machine; I don't believe Bosco has ever made a product with malt.
There is a "use by" date on them. It's near the nutrition facts on the back of the card.
My expiration date was six months from the date of receipt, but I don't care about dates when it comes to syrup. After a year, I found one I had misplaced and it was fine; what could possibly go wrong?

So I decided to place an order to see what I was missing out on. br>br>As soon as this Bosco arrived, I poured a generous amount into my cold milk and stirred it up. br>br>The taste did not impress me, and to be honest, it disappointed me. I was hoping for a chocolate flavor, but it didn't come through. br>br>This stuff does have a distinct flavor, but I wouldn't call it chocolatey, and I can't think of anything else that it tastes like. br>br>I believe that everyone who praises this product should have their taste buds tested.
I haven't been able to locate this anywhere near my home. It's the best chocolate syrup I've ever had in my life, in my opinion. When I make chocolate malts and vanilla ice cream, I use it.
I even bought it as stocking stuffers for my nieces and nephews for Christmas so I could get it and introduce it to them.
The fact that it's dairy-free is fantastic. This is a favorite of my dairy-allergic child. He mostly uses it in coffee and on ice cream.
It has the same flavor as I recall. Basco is something I haven't had in a long time. The chocolate flavor is strong in the syrup.
In the 1950s and 1960s, Bosco was the most popular chocolate syrup. Dark, flavorful, and rich. This stuff is weak, insipid, and doesn't even have a hint of chocolate flavor. Gak.
Despite being sealed, I had two that were leaking. It was still delicious.
I'm a little concerned about the high fructose corn syrup, as I don't recall it being present when I was a kid.
