Rice Krispies Treats contain malt flavoring, which can contain gluten, so they are not gluten-free. free.

Because the packaging has hearts on it and there is no expiration date, I'm guessing it's from last Valentine's Day. I thought I was going to break a tooth when I opened one that looked normal but stale.
This was the first problem, as they arrived in a cardboard box. They appear to be the same rice crispy treats that you can buy at the supermarket, but they are much harder and less sweet. The issue that prompted me to write this review was that while eating one, I bit into a small orange piece of plastic and almost broke my molars while biting down. This can't be allowed.
When I got my treats, I was overjoyed. "Made in Mexico" and "product of Mexico" were written on a box within a box. Thank you for your time.
As you can see, they were not packaged in their original packaging. They were packaged in a cardboard box with the words "Mexico product" written on it. The packaging appears to have been tampered with. The bars are old, have an unusual color, and a foul odor. I discovered a hard chunk of mold or something similar while eating one of them. These should not be purchased because they may make you sick.
It was a huge let down. I ordered a variety of rice krispie treats from Amazon, which were delicious. I'm not sure what happened to these, but I'm going to stick with the bite-sized version that is currently available.
I had to throw away a lot of them because they were so dry and hard. It's impossible to eat because it's too tough.
