The rolls were about 6 inches diameter the last time I ordered them I am 7 inches tall. Compared to ordering a regular size sub/hoagie in a sub shop, I find them comparable. do not grow to be feet long.
Originating from Philadelphia, I now live in New York City. The Amoroso rolls that we use for our famous cheesesteaks are definitely these.
To store them, I tie a bag tightly around them and place them in the fridge. It's true that over time the quality diminishes, but I'm not an expert in that. Keeping them in the fridge for a few days or a couple of weeks is a good idea. It will take a few days to ship (I have included

Amoroso rolls are essential to making Philly Cheesesteaks. Even if you find a sub or hoagie roll at the bakery dept. in your grocery store, the taste just won't be the same as a real Philly cheesesteak. As soon as they're warmed up, magic happens. Rolls are prepared by opening them flat and laying a few provolone slices across the top of each. A sheet of foil is draped over the tray and it is placed in the oven for not quite ten minutes at 325 degrees. Fill them out once you have pulled them out. (I make my steaks with frozen steaks and no fancy recipe is needed. Stir in the Ums, salt, pepper, garlic powder, sautéed onions, and A1, while melting the Cheez Whiz into the mixture. It was a pleasure to eat these rolls. Despite the differences in cooking styles, they still tasted It may be a bit pricey, but sometimes even a little bit of spending is worth it to taste your childhood! There has been a lot of discussion about these rolls not freezing My problem was not the same as yours. All the air was squeezed out, the end of the bag was tied in a tight knot right on top of the rolls, and then the rolls were put in a freezer bag that I squeezed out the air in. I was thrilled to find that they froze nicely and defrosted easily.
I order these rolls and they ship within 7 days, but from the moment I ordered them I would have liked them sooner. We have 4 more days to spend in.
Sadly, they are not so good after being frozen, they become very tough when defrosted! However, they are still great when cold while they are fresh despite our extra care in packaging them for freezing.
This is fantastic. My local grocery stores do not sell rolls like that. There are no boundaries when it comes to taste and texture. Those are the best. The only thing that could enhance these would be to buy a bag in a store.
