I've had a biscuit addiction for a long time. When I returned home from college one weekend and saw my cousin's car parked out front, I decided to pay an aunt and uncle a visit. They invited me to go to Bob Evans with them. The idea of biscuits appealed to me at the time. I found gravy to be a little disgusting, but I gave it a try and that was the end of it! br>br>We don't have any Bob Evans restaurants around here any longer, so we don't get this treat very often, but when we do, we make it at home. We make our own sausage and gravy, as well as these biscuits, because they are superior to store-bought alternatives. I know they're not as good as homemade biscuits made from scratch, but they're still tasty. Southeastern Mills makes an excellent peppered gravy that we enjoy. My wife thickens the gravy slightly with a pound of sausage to make it less thick, and while it's not quite as good as Bob Evans, it's still quite tasty. br>br>If you're looking for a hearty weekend breakfast, these are a great option.
Because of the flakiness, it's difficult to tell where the breaks between biscuits are when you take them out of the package. Cooked biscuits tend to separate on their own, resulting in uneven halves.
It's simple to do. I've been using it for a long time. I'm going to buy more.

It takes a long time for it to brown up. Flaky and rustic are far superior.
