Honestly, I do not know why you should not freeze these bagels, but from experience I can say that they do get tougher after a freeze and the raisins change texture after a freeze. Other factors might explain why they say not to freeze them, but I would imagine the manufacturer would be able to provide an explanation.

I wouldn't call it a great bagel but I wouldn't call it a bad one There is no flavor in them, which is a pity because they are fresh and have a nice chew.
