I am overjoyed! Alfajores Havanna are the kind of food I eat for more than forty My memory of the beaches of Mar de Plata when I was a little boy is evoked each time I have one. remember when Havanna used to have this promotional flying saucer/boat that they landed along the shore and I thought it was the coolest thing I had ever seen! In addition to going to the store with my parents and watching the bakers make them, I also remember going to the Havanna store with my father. It was possible to smell the melted chocolate from Their freshness means that they can be bought straight from Argentinians love alfajors because they have things that make them seem Argentine (but not dulce de leche or It is impossible to beat an Alfajor from Havanna. The $45. 00 is a killer for me. I would have spent at least $600 for a mail box here in the States, but when you live over 5,700 miles away, that's what you get! You should visit the Mardel store if you are ever in Mardel (the phrase is used locally). You can find them at Amigo Foods if you are unable to find them. It is larger than I anticipated, and one cookie is quite a substantial portion, and it fills me up perfectly. This delicious dessert combines a thick layer of chocolate with a layer of sweet, sticky I've never tasted a meringue better than this one. It has even more sweetness, but it has as fine a meringue as any I've ever had. Add it to a cup of coffee and it will make it taste even better! Because I wanted to share the goodness with my family, I gifted some of it to them. Although they are on the expensive side, I consider them to be good value for money, so I will buy them again.
Having ordered it twice now, I can't get enough of it. In the first package, which was fairly well sealed, the cookies were in a factory-sealed plastic bag. In the second instance, the box was wrapped in bubble wrap and arrived an inch or two Although the cookies are still amazing, the packaging (upon arrival) leaves a bit to be desired.
There were quite a few Alfajores in the batch. It is a better deal to order them online as opposed to visiting a local Hispanic/Latin store. Sadly, I forgot the exact expiration date, but there was no problem with the freshness and each snack was proper. The surprise gift I received both times I ordered was unexpected. At one time, a bag and at another, a different type of sweet treat from Latin America. It was definitely nice of the sellers to do that. Despite the uncertainty surrounding the delivery dates, the I felt like I was getting the real thing because my headphones were shipped directly from Argentina. Would recommend on a scale of 1 to 10.
The following are exactly as I remember them I highly recommend this dish. I like the cookie because it is tender and slightly crumbly, and I like it because dulce de leche is sweet, but not overpoweringly I was so impressed with the quality of this batch. A huge plus was that they came in a vacuum sealed wrap inside the box. There is a lot of quality here, and I am very impressed. The next time I order, I will place a second order.

I had high expectations as an Alfajor newbie, and they were exceeded, the chocolate, the filling, the smart packaging, even the way the cigar box looks. It sounds like they are going to carry more flavors soon, so I hope we can get them online. This is the perfect sweet bite to enjoy at afternoon tea or as a quick breakfast on the go.
