In order to avoid a nasty surprise like I did, inspect the bag of oatmeal squares before eating. This is my second purchase from them, and I no longer believe I can rely on their quality control or shipping. br>br>I've uploaded two photos. The product will expire in 2021, according to one. The other is a slightly blurry image of mold on one side; Amazon rotated the image when I uploaded it, but there was a small web of mold on the top side when I took the photo. When I saw it, I hurriedly tossed it back into the bag, knowing that I had already consumed four squares over the previous few days. When I first discovered the mold, it was made up of standing hairs. The person in the photo is no longer standing because he or she has evolved into a web-based business. It either lost its shape over the course of the day or flattened when I tossed it back into the bag. br>br>I should point out that the first few squares I ate had an odd chemical flavor to them before I discovered a moldy one. I'm not sure if this is a sign, but it wasn't the case the first time I bought these.
My mother first introduced me to these, and I knew I needed to get my hands on some. They're probably cheaper elsewhere; they're a little pricey on Amazon; however, when I searched for "heavenly hunks," which I should have expected, I got some interesting results. But these cookies are so delicious that scrolling past the trashy romance novels and callendars was well worth it.
Now I'm concerned about what's in them! It is not returnable because it is a food item! Both packages belong to the same batch! I'll give them a call to let them know! But just a word of caution to anyone else thinking about buying these! They've just arrived, and they're not due to expire until 2021! And they had only recently been opened! I still have a bad taste in my mouth and a stomach ache an hour later! (br>(br>(br>(br>(br>( This purchase was returned to me by Amazon! I'm not sure if I'll buy from them again because they literally left a bad taste in my mouth, but I'm glad Amazon stood up for me!.
" THE PRODUCT HAS BEEN OPENED! It's so frustrating that I'm stuck with a product that I can't return or use! br>br>I wish there was a way to leave a star without doing so. NO PRAISE IS DESERVED FOR THE WAY I RECEIVED THIS PRODUCT!.
I bought several bags from a store in two different flavors, and they were all fresh, soft, and of excellent quality. The hunks were fantastic, and they were all consistent. Of course, I wanted to try another flavor, so I ordered the dark chocolate flavor in a large 22 oz bag from you on Amazon. The consistency, softness, and quality of this bag are not comparable to the two other flavored bags we purchased in the store. These were tough to eat and had a distinct flavor. I'm not sure if this is due to a storage issue or because it was delivered by Amazon.
I'd been purchasing divine hunks for $7 at my local Costco. 99, but they were out of stock, so I purchased them here. They're tasty, natural, and chemical-free. The product is excellent, but it is not worth $20 for a single bag.
In stores, these are around $10 per bag, but I can only find them at a Costco near me, and I don't have a membership and don't go there very often. When she leaves, I have a friend pick them up, but that doesn't happen very often. Apart from their affordability and accessibility, these hunks are truly divine. They don't make me feel like I'm on a "special diet" when I eat dessert. They're not quite cookies, but they're similar to chocolate chip cookie dough fudge. I may have gorged myself on the first bag I bought because it tasted like the kind of food I used to be able to eat (I'm only recently gluten and dairy free, though all signs point to this being a dietary change that's been needed for quite some time). They're even better with a dollop of unsalted peanut butter on top (or just plain).
The first bag wasn't as good as Costco's, but it was adequate. The second bag had a strong odor of moldy cheese when it was opened. It's like cracking open a jar of old blue cheese or Gorgonzola. Each square appeared to be slightly more opaque/dusty than the previous Costco purchase. 5/11/21 is the date of expiration. Amazon is not a good place to get this product. Invest in a local store or don't buy anything at all.
