Recently, Back to Nature reformulated their product line so that all of their products are plant-based except for some that contain honey. Exactly why they do not advertise them as vegan is not entirely clear. There has been confusion on their listings due to their Amazon listings showing old ingredients for some varieties, and their older non-vegan versions are proving to be confusing to some customers. In my experience, if you receive the non vegan version, contact Amazon for a refund/exchange based on the fact that you received the wrong product. I ordered the Cheddarlicious crackers a month ago and they were vegan and delicious. FYI, they do use shared equipment that may have been in contact with dairy and soy, so if you are allergic to these things or don't feel comfortable using shared equipment, you will need to purchase at your own risk. The product I found when searching for "gluten free" on Amazon was the FIRST to pop up. As soon as I found out that gluten free versions of this style cookie were being made, I ordered them immediately. Having a few of them made me feel sick as soon as they got here. As soon as I checked the ingredients, UBLEACHED WHEAT FLOUR was the first thing I noticed. My search for gluten free went back to a promoted listing after I did a second search for it. What a horrible thing to happen. How do you promote an item that does not apply to you under a search for something that you cater to! In addition to wasting my money, I will now be ill for a while. Thank you.
