As sad as it is to write this, I must do it. Due to major dietary restrictions (gluten-free, vegetarian, With zero or low-sugar and no artificial ingredients), these pecan cookies were the perfect snack. These almond nut cookies have a delightful nutty taste as well as a hint of sweetness, and the ingredient list is (was) amazing. These cookies have been ordered religiously for three years, a 3-pack of You should pack every month at the very least. The only cookie I truly enjoy is this one.

Unfortunately, I just opened my latest order and noticed both flavor and texture had been altered a lot-enough that I felt that the recipe had appeared to have been altered. As it turns out, As a result, these cookies do not contain tigernuts, palm shortening has been replaced by coconut oil, and coconut from the nut flour blend has been eliminated. Only about four or five cookies were whole in a box of about 21 cookies (I would estimate that 7 servings fit within each container based on the serving size). As far as I remember, I opened 2 out of 3 of the boxes, and I suspect the third will be similar when I open This isn't simply a case of them being broken in half, either. I think there are more like cookie crumbs in the bag since nearly half of the cookies were broken into tiny pieces and others were sliced into small chunks, leaving only a few whole items. Considering the fact that the cookies will mostly crumble, I'm not sure that purchasing them would be worthwhile.

The worse they are, the better they are! As a gluten/sugar free baker, it is so nice to have a treat to keep me from feeling deprived when I am unable to bake anything. The cookies are small, 1 3/4" in size and 1/4" thick, and about a third the diameter of a penny. The number of bites per person is four. This is not a hard crunchy, but a soft crunchy, maybe similar to a Chips Ahoy chocolate bar. Not a hard snap like a ginger snap, but a chip cookie. There is a foil bag they come in. If I could get them cheaper in bulk somewhere, it would be great, but I might not be able to.
