As sad as it is to write this, I must do it. Due to major dietary restrictions (gluten-free, vegetarian, With zero or low-sugar and no artificial ingredients), these pecan cookies were the perfect snack. These almond nut cookies have a delightful nutty taste as well as a hint of sweetness, and the ingredient list is (was) amazing. These cookies have been ordered religiously for three years, a 3-pack of You should pack every month at the very least. The only cookie I truly enjoy is this one.
Unfortunately, I just opened my latest order and noticed both flavor and texture had been altered a lot-enough that I felt that the recipe had appeared to have been altered. As it turns out, As a result, these cookies do not contain tigernuts, palm shortening has been replaced by coconut oil, and coconut from the nut flour blend has been eliminated. (As a reference, see photo. The new box can be found in the box to the left. There aren't huge changes, but wow, does it make a difference in taste. The texture is quite different now - there's more flour in it There's more nuttiness than sweetness, which is such a shame. My only hope is that this is a temporary issue, as the original recipe was excellent. Please don't go down this road of cutting corners to increase profits at Simple Mills. I'll be willing to pay more for a quality product. Please get back to the original recipe! (Side Likewise, Simple Mills' almond crackers (texture and size) have been altered (were), which I also consume on a regular basis. My heart breaks for Simple Mills!).
In the box, only half of the items are in there. It is empty in the other half. If you want to justify your $5/box price, you could say whatever you want, but the most sincere thing you can do is not to At the very least, please be real about the number of cookies you will be able to include for $5. It was fine buying the cookies, but I do not want to buy from people who try to fool In any case, I would have bought again had it not been for the price.
In the case of a gluten-free diet There is no charge for this chocolate chip cookie, so it There is a pronounced flavor in this cookie and the texture and consistency are similar to Despite giving four stars instead of five, I commend you for your commitment to quality and service. Even though these cookies are very tasty, they are quite expensive. I'm not sure if I would keep buying them at a cost of $4 a dozen. The price per box is 78 cents. In the delivery There were a lot of broken cookies in the boxes I received. Only about four or five cookies were whole in a box of about 21 cookies (I would estimate that 7 servings fit within each container based on the serving size). As far as I remember, I opened 2 out of 3 of the boxes, and I suspect the third will be similar when I open This isn't simply a case of them being broken in half, either. I think there are more like cookie crumbs in the bag since nearly half of the cookies were broken into tiny pieces and others were sliced into small chunks, leaving only a few whole items. Considering the fact that the cookies will mostly crumble, I'm not sure that purchasing them would be worthwhile.
The worse they are, the better they are! As a gluten/sugar free baker, it is so nice to have a treat to keep me from feeling deprived when I am unable to bake anything. The cookies are small, 1 3/4" in size and 1/4" thick, and about a third the diameter of a penny. The number of bites per person is four. This is not a hard crunchy, but a soft crunchy, maybe similar to a Chips Ahoy chocolate bar. Not a hard snap like a ginger snap, but a chip cookie. There is a foil bag they come in. If I could get them cheaper in bulk somewhere, it would be great, but I might not be able to.
What about chocolate? I love it! What is cinnamon? I yawn. After three months on my strict keto diet, I still couldn't give up my desire for sweets, and I was looking for ANYTHING that would help me satisfy it. This is where the miracle cookies come in. Due to my love or hate relationship with them, I'll list my concerns below, based entirely on my keto requirements
Dietary habits A keto diet is essentially a low-carb diet Thank you! Dieters on the keto diet are allowed to consume all the listed ingredients. Once you work out the nutritional equation, the amount of carbs for three small cookies reduces to about 6g, and the sugars certainly pose You won't be able to binge on the whole box, so don't expect you will. However, for those times when cookies are in order, these cookies are perfect. The price is Although expensive, the price makes it possible to limit consumption to just a couple each sitting due to its high price. A TASTE OF Crunchy chocolate is a treat to enjoy The first time I tried them I thought they were strange, A rich chocolate taste with a bit of a cardamom bite in the aftertaste, though spicy notes appear to be added to the overall flavor. I love chocolate chip cookies. At least I do, sometimes. This is excellent. Chocolate chip cookies similar to the ones you could buy in a It closely resembles Chips Ahoy in terms of taste. **Cinnamon is an essential spice. I hate it. There is a lot of work to be done on this one. I was eager to try the other flavors they offered after I had become addicted to their previous flavors There is an option for chocolate. My first thoughts were that the cookies would be as satisfying as the chocolate. However, I soon noticed a spicy note in the flavor. I chewed more, but I still had to have a break. I hate this. My reaction was like eating a rubber tire in a health food store. I have no idea what the flavor of this product is supposed to be like. It's not that these cookies are particularly cinnamony. Cookies with this flavor are almost herbal (which isn't really what you want in a cookie), intensify the longer they sit in your mouth, then end with the most revolting aftertaste that lasts for My problem is that I have three boxes of them and they are utterly dreadful as-is. I'm looking for a way to use them in a recipe, because I'm stuck with them and can't eat them Having said all that, I highly recommend the other two cookie flavors, and if you haven’t checked out Simple Mills’ crackers yet, you should. They have a whole line of products that are a godsend for people who have specialized dietary needs, and I highly recommend them. The funniest part).
I am amazed! I thought I would no longer be able to eat chocolate cookies after my doctor placed me on a ketonic diet, Unlike other cookies I can't eat, these are free of all the following The top five foods to avoid are grains, dairy, gluten, soy, and nuts. The sugar equivalent. However, none of the taste is sacrificed. The flavors of these are amazing. The flavors all sound delicious, and I look forward to trying them. Every month, I will be sure to add these to my shopping list. You also get a lot of cookies in the I love it!.
Despite its crispness, this cookie is not too sweet it has a nutty Gluten-free products don't generally have an aftertaste like some gluten-free products do. The cookies are small and the package contains quite a few of them.
