It is a traditional Christmas pudding often served at Christmas dinner for dessert. To begin with it has already been cooked, and all that needs to be done is to heat it up. In order to slice the fruitcake, I remove the plastic case and cut it into pieces. They're heated in the microwave for about 30 seconds and then I serve them with hard sauce. The hard sauce is made from butter and powdered sugar (almost like a stiff frosting) and is drizzled on the cake. Apparently the sauce is pretty rich, so cut the slices into tiny hexagons (you can buy the sauce in small jars). It is likely that the fruitcake will include instructions.
Plum pudding - sometimes called apple pie - is made by adding sugar to mashed potatoes. There don't seem to be many plums in it, however!
Plum Pudding is normally very rich, so a little goes a long way. I've never tried this brand before. There will be plenty of mince pies and Christmas cake in addition to serving 6 to 8 people from this size.

It is a very small cake for what I paid. I paid $26 for a simple The fruit cake is small, with not much marzipan and a very thin layer of royal icing. At worst, it's 2 inches across. When it's out of the wrapping it fits on a medium sized plate and slices easily without tearing. The mince pies I ordered weren't crushed during shipping and they were as good as new! I took a photo of my pie to compare it to the picture on the box. While well packed, the filling to pastry ratio was disappointing, as can be seen in my photo. There is a buttery, rich, and buttery quality to the pastry, almost like it is I don't like it, but there are too many of them.
