Tradition for me is celebrating the holidays in this way. The bigbox grocer's bakery offered fruitcake in the days leading up to Thanksgiving. I asked if it would be available before Thanksgiving. People complained that it doesn't sell and no one likes it. Many times they even do not have enough ingredients on hand to make it on your own. People are unappealing to fruitcake because it contains citron, which is bitter, and some recipes have a dark batter that contains too much cake and not enough It has no bitter citron at all. It is made with a light batter and filled with cherries, pecans, candied fruit, and raisins. It's being held together by just enough cake. This package arrived vacuum sealed, fresh and moist, and reminiscient of those delicious treats I used to enjoy fresh from the oven when I was a kid. Despite their vehement opposition to the fruitcake, I have convinced them to try a slice and they've been pleasantly surprised. I'm sorry to tell you, but if you hate fruitcake, you're going to miss.
My family and I have routinely devoured an Ann Pagelight fruitcake around the holidays for more than 60 years (except for when they aren't available due to shortage of supply). The product would have earned 5 stars from me up until now. I found, however, that this year's cake, while similar to the previous ones, did appear to comprise an important substitution, at least based on Different this year was the amount of pineapple - less than last year In the matrix of the cake there was little, and there were no pineapple pieces on top, where in the past pineapple pieces alternated May be next year's event can be brought back?.
I love the taste, but when baked it was not put on an aluminum sheet, and by the time I got it, it was broken in at least five places, making it impossible to cut the cake properly. For the price I paid for it, it sure is not in outstanding shape.
The smell of a freshly baked fruitcake sitting on the kitchen counter is nothing short of heavenly. My experiences ordering cakes on the Internet over the last few years have always been fantastic - I am never disappointed with the cakes I order from there Jane Parker cakes were unavailable for some years in the Midwest for a long time at that time, so it was a very sad time. If you think fruitcakes are a joke, then you have obviously not tried one of the cakes of Jane Parker. Whenever I purchase a turkey, I always buy an extra one and freeze it so I can enjoy it all.
". who's now in his 80s, retired from the Air Force a few years ago There were still a lot of locations in the south back when P used to have them. Due to a lack of money, this was difficult. With the oranges and uncracked mixed nuts we found in our stockings and recieved only at Christmas, there were oranges and nuts that I have never seen before. Fruitcakes are a staple of Christmas time-they provide a explosion of delicious food In the back of my mind I have a memory. The one I got for my father this year was a gift from me. As it is his to enjoy, he only tasted a tad of it. It's amazing to watch him bite into this cake as he eats it. Bringing it back was a great decision! Once again, you created a wonderful memory for Christmas.
It is moist, packed full of fruit and nuts. A taste of it can only be enjoyed after delivery. The product was more than delivered, it was delivered to the correct address on schedule and without damage. I received the fruit cake on 20 December, which I had been promised by 22 to 28 December An early delivery of two days' worth of groceries I could have picked it up off the shelf at my local retailer just as if it were brand new. In summary Great fruit cake and great service!.
I had been driving for 3 hours up and back home.
The two of them seemed to be gone forever when A&A left There is no business for P anymore!.
