The fruit cake was a huge letdown for me. There were a lot of walnuts if it had them. I've been around long enough to recall the original cake.'
Fruit Cakes by Jane Parker are proudly made in the United States of America.
The cake contains about 75% candied fruit and 20% nuts as main ingredients.
There are nuts in it, but I don't believe there are any peanuts. You should be able to find an ingredients list on the website.

AVOID. What a letdown! This fruit cake is, in my opinion, the best I've ever made. When my mother used to get the large 5 lb. bag of them, I developed a fondness for them. For about $4, I used to buy cakes for a long time. Oh, how I wish those prices were still in effect! Fruit in my mouth Every bite is packed with nuts; they don't hold back. They're very tasty.
The fruit cake was of average quality. It was necessary for me to be a little more moist and flavorful. Sorry. It's possible that this one has spent some time in the warehouse.
I've been looking for that fruitcake for 30 years. I used to get it from Farmers Jack supermarket, but they went out of business. I love their fruitcakes, and no one has a fruitcake like Jane Parker's, so this past Christmas I was online and typed in the name Jamie Parker, and hola there it was Jane Parker fruitcake, and I had to have it. It still tastes the same after all these years. I'll be shopping online for my fruitcake and Christmas.
