I'm honestly surprised you ordered this product in a jar, as I've never seen this product in a jar in 23 years. There has always been a can of it. If jars are a new packaging they are considering, I do not understand why they say that. The product has always been packaged in 8 cans, or canisters as they like to call them.
If you would like an accurate answer to that question, you will have to contact Amazon.
The answer is that I do not know. A decline in popularity might be taking place for some products.

It has been several years since I've switched to Cafe Vienna as my beverage of choice. For a three-tsp serving, I use three teaspoons.
