Is it necessary to keep it refrigerated if it isn't used right away?

I always keep Accelerade in the fridge, and if I'm on the go, I just use ice cold filtered or bottled water. To mix, you'll need a container that can be shaken briskly. It tastes fantastic.

Before you take a drink during a run, make sure you give it a try
3/5

Although it did what it said it would do in the product description, it also acts as a strong laxative, which was not what I was expecting while running on the treadmill at the gym. I drank it around mile 11, and by mile 15, I was experiencing the dreaded diarrhea gas shooting up to my stomach. By mile 16, I had decided to relieve myself and let some gas out, and I was completely humiliated when I splattered all over the gym's equipment. Because I run at a fast pace, some of my accident was thrown back onto the rowing machine by the treadmill. Needless to say, the lovely lady at the machine was not pleased with me. I was able to complete my 20-mile treadmill run without incident, proving that it is effective. I never had a cramp in my leg. Although this is a good product, it should be labeled with a warning.

I've been using this product for over 18 years for all of my training runs, 95 marathons, and a few ultramarathons
5/5

All of them have a great flavor. I've never had a bad batch or caused diarrhea as a result of it. I first fill my sports bottle with ice and cold water, then add 1 scoop of Accelerade and shake vigorously. While running in your bottle holder, it will blend even more. This 4:1 carbohydrate-to-protein ratio is ideal for endurance athletes during exercise; you can also use it as a recovery drink or mix it with low-fat yogurt. Not only does fat chocolate milk have a close to 4:1 ratio, but it also contains vitamins and minerals that your body requires. Low-cost alternatives, on the other hand, would not be my first choice. When consumed as a recovery drink after a workout or endurance event, fat chocolate milk should be consumed within 30 minutes. It quickly enters the bloodstream before reaching the muscles. This will provide you with the most benefit in terms of recovery before your next workout. Drink about 8-ounces of water. Weight: 12 oz. It aids in proper fueling and makes the perceived effort feel less strenuous during exercise. If you're going to use energy gels during a race or workout, make sure you wash them down with water. It's possible that drinking Accelerade will upset your stomach.

Customer for ten years - the 4: The discovery of a single ratio is transformative
5/5

I've been using Accelerade for over ten years, having discovered it almost by accident while training for a marathon. I discovered that no matter what I did or didn't do, the long runs would knock me out for days. In Runner's World, there was an article about the whole 4: 1 recovery ratio thing, and I figured it was worth a shot because I'd been a zombie for three days. I initially purchased a few of the pre-runs four days after the long runs. I made bottles to try, and I prefer the powder flavor (especially the orange, which is similar to Tang but a little creamier). I tried drinking it before, during, and after one of my dreaded weekend long runs. I immediately noticed that I had more energy when I completed the task. It was intriguing, but the worst was usually afterward and in the days that followed. As a result, I had to wait. as well as the feeling great. It was strange; I honestly didn't feel like I'd done anything other than a good workout or yoga class. There was no deep muscle soreness, and there was no lingering fatigue. at all! The difference between the two was night and day for me. So I told my friend, who rides his bike to and from work in extreme heat, about it, and he noticed a significant difference in his ability to stay energized and recover from those exhausting rides. I put it to the test after doing some heavy lifting. The situation is identical. It became my go-to workout companion over time, and I now bring a cold bottle everywhere I go to stay hydrated and energized during the scorching summers in Los Angeles. It's amazing how different things feel once the nutrients get to your cells. Most drinks, I believe, simply pass through your system, but that 4: The magic number appears to be one formula. I've even persuaded some Gatorade aficionados, and I wish everyone knew how great this stuff is, even if they aren't athletes. It blends fairly easily, but I use a Vitamix so that I can add a small amount of ice to make it really cold (btw, according to a handy book on sports nutrition I once read, cold liquids are absorbed more quickly than room temperature liquids when the body is under exertion). Believe me when I say that this stuff works. When I'm in a hurry, I also enjoy their coffee and chocolate Excel Gels. It's tasty, and it's still effective. This is something you should do for yourself!.

Non-stop disgusting grit dissolves This is the second time I've had a bad container of Accelerade
3/5

We had to discard the previous one because there were no returns, so we reordered in the hopes of receiving a defective batch. Regrettably, that risky bet did not pay off; This batch is even worse, and it appears that it will not be returned. That's $100 down the drain, which is particularly disappointing given that we've been using Accelerade for at least 5 years with no problems.

It helps a lot with hydration
5/5

Accelerade has been a part of my life for a long time. It's ideal for strenuous workouts. I compete in mixed martial arts and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and my practices can be quite lengthy. I can go through two glasses of water in a single sitting when I drink water. Even after drinking 3+ liters during a workout, I'm still thirsty and dehydrated. I rarely go through more than a liter of accelerade, and I don't think I need any more fluids or water. The only drawback is that I'd like to try more flavors without having to buy them in bulk. Others I've tried tasted like dried cardboard in water, but this one is good.

Endurance and training are two of the most important aspects of this product
5/5

For the past four months, I've been preparing for a 5K race. Normally, I would run for 15 to 20 minutes. A week's worth of walking is 20 miles. Before I started taking Accelerade, I was always out of breath in the middle of a workout and had a sour feeling in my calf after a mile or speed workout. br>I experimented with Accelerade and Endurox R4 after reading Jeff Galloway's book. It's also a cinch to use. br>I was no longer out of breath, and my calf muscles were not even slightly sore, and I was able to increase my training time and speed with each session. br>After training, combining with EnduroxR4 is a perfect match. br>I drank an orange and it was delicious; instead of water or juice, I'm now drinking Acc 5- 6 times per day: br>It's simple to prepare and clean up in the cup. br>I usually put the powder on top of some cool water and mix it well. br>I put the drink in a water bottle after the race and would discard the bottle after drinking, so it was not a problem for me. br>I like the taste of oranges; I haven't tried any others, and I'm thinking I'll stick with oranges because the majority of the reviews I've read have been negative.
