Its crunch is familiar to people who have added it to ice cream. If dissolved in milk, it will separate.
This malted milk powder is richer in taste in contrast to the other brands. In contrast to other malts, ovaltine not so much tastes like malt but more like a caramel and nougat combination. This is obviously a matter of personal opinion.

What a waste of time. This product is great and I'm so glad I found it Probably more than 30 years have passed since I last consumed Ovaltine. A few days ago I was watching 1950's commercial reruns on TV, and what did you find? You're going to love this original advertisement from 1955 pitching Ovaltine! Complete with Captain Rocket and decoder pin! I was immediately struck by the following thought I am speechless! What is the quality of the stuff, and if they still make it, is it the same? It was indeed in Classic formula on Amazon! I went right out and bought it! My first reaction was to be skeptical given that the brand has been sold a few times over the years, etc. It can't possibly be the same stuff, but since it will cost so little, I'm willing to try I received it two days after I ordered it. Instantly upon opening the box, I was instantly swept away by the special aroma and flashbacks to my childhood began to present themselves. After that, I thought "Yeah. ". What's the taste like? It smells good, but does it taste good? I couldn't wait to find out. poured 3 heaping tablespoons of Ovaltine into a tall glass and mixed it, then opened the container, got the milk, and poured it in the glass.
