The peach passion fruit contains 90 calories, but it also contains 20 grams of sugar.
Any flavor with a production date of December 21, 2020 is disgusting. In my opinion, it is far worse than maple syrup. It has an unpleasant odor and flavor. I called Starbucks and received no immediate or definitive response, but they promised to contact me. After three weeks, I still haven't received a response. I'm on the lookout for a new drink of choice. Starbucks has lost my trust. 😔
Sugar content per can is 20 grams. br>While the fruit juice is concentrated, it contains far less sugar than soda pop or sweet tea.

I've been drinking these for years, and this seller has sold me peach passion fruit Refreshers nearly 30 times. These aren't Starbucks Refreshers in the traditional sense. They once were, but no longer are. The cans appear to have been made at home, based on their appearance. On the left is the original can, and on the right is the new can. The new can's print is all large and hazy. Even the Starbucks Siren has a strange expression on her face. They also have a VILE flavor to them. I couldn't stop myself from giggling. I tried eight of them just to make sure, then spit them out and poured the rest down the drain. Now that Starbucks has stopped selling them, I believe the seller is making their own Refreshers at home and attempting to pass them off as Starbucks.
So, for years, I've been buying Refreshers as the only reasonably safe "energy" drink. This is the first time I've received the new style cans - half a cup of coffee's worth of caffeine, not a lot of sugar, seemed to taste good (except certain flavors), and so on. br>br>This is the first time I've received the new style cans - I didn't think they'd mess with the mix, so I didn't expect them to. They didn't, based on the ingredient list, but there is a distinct difference in taste. The Strawberry Lemonade has an aftertaste that reminds me of cough syrup that has been watered down. Why? Why did they feel compelled to sabotage something that was so good? It's not as "light" and crisp as the previous version, and it's not nearly as carbonated, because it doesn't taste like strawberry or lemonade. br>br>The only thing I can think of that could account for this is the Nutrition Facts. br>br>Panax Ginseng (you know, the root that aids memory and is the reason I used to call it "focus in a can") is no longer available. ), but that doesn't explain the taste. br>br>The older version had about 2mg of sodium in it. You'll find 45mg in this one. Why? What about in a fruity cocktail? Hydration is important. Saline water is absorbed faster by the body than normal or untreated water (electrolyte water is basically treated water with a higher sodium content), and it aids in the removal of toxins from the body, which in theory contributes to increased energy.
The Vitamin C used to be 100%, now it is 25%. This suggests that either the ascorbic acid or the fruit juice concentrate have been reduced. Based on the taste, I wouldn't be surprised if they stripped everything down to the bare essentials. Vitamin C, of course, aids in the strengthening of the immune system. Lowering this seems strange, but perhaps they were attempting to avoid people who would down 4-packs of beer. 5 of these due to the fact that one can was 100% daily value. It can be harmful to your system if you consume too much of it. Rather than punishing the drink and making it less effective for others, I'd prefer people to be informed about daily value and not overdo it. br>br>At this point, and I haven't tried them all, I'm afraid I'll have to switch to another drink. The flavor is revolting, but I lament the loss of the good stuff as well.
I've been buying these refreshers at least once a month for over a year. They have a hold on me. BUT, when I got my package a few weeks ago, I noticed that the liquid was severely contaminated. I thought it tasted like "sulfur" and assumed it was something on the can's outside, so I rinsed the next one thoroughly. Nope. According to my husband, the syrup is faulty. That it could have gone horribly wrong. I didn't get as much of a taste in the Peach, and I had a terrible stomach ache that night. GALORE with stomach pains. br>I requested a refund, and they promptly provided me with a replacement. Unfortunately, the second batch was identical to the first. Undrinkable They will no longer allow me to return it or receive a refund. I'm hoping it's just a bad batch, but I'm hoping they fix it because I used to love these. Before ordering again, I'll wait a few months for the product to run out.
However, this shipment, as well as the one before it about a week ago, did not taste right. I'm disappointed because Starbucks has discontinued this product, and Amazon was the only place I could find it as far as I knew, but I believe they've been sitting around for far too long wherever they're being stored. Even though they were still carbonated, both shipments of Peach Passion Fruit, Black Cherry Lime, and Strawberry Lemon had an unpleasant syrupy aftertaste. We had to throw out all of the cases we received because they were so disgusting. We had originally ordered 6 cases about a week ago, and all but the Black Cherry Lime were bad, so I was refunded/replaced with Peach Passion Fruit and more Black Cherry, assuming we had just gotten a bad batch, but the ones we received yesterday were just as bad, including the Black Cherry. I'm getting a refund on everything and won't be buying these again.
These were once a source of obsession for me. They were always my go-to drink when I was on the go. Starbucks had stopped selling them for whatever reason, and they were no longer available in any of their stores. I've tried them on Amazon several times and they just don't taste right. They now have a bad taste to them. Since Starbucks no longer produces these, I'm not sure where Amazon gets them. Despite the fact that the expiration date is usually a few months away, they taste as if they have been expired for quite some time. It's truly a pity. These should not be for sale, in my opinion.
I've bought this item 84 times and never had them taste like this. I've talked to Starbucks and they haven't changed their recipe, so I believe Amazon has a whole bunch of bad drinks. I have three cases sitting around that I can't drink because they taste like crap.
It has not reached the end of its useful life. The syrup flavor in this case is distinct and obnoxious. I'll still give it 5 stars because it's usually the best drink ever made, and I won't participate in any action that reduces its popularity and, as a result, my access to it in the future. Plus, Amazon replaced it in a very thoughtful manner.
