Gerber Baby Cereal 2nd Foods, Grain & Grow, Whole Wheat, 8 Ounce (Pack of 6)

After doing some research, we decided that oatmeal cereal would be a better/healthier option than rice cereal. Our doctor suggested that we either put the cereal in his bottle or spoon feed him a cereal/breast milk mixture to help him learn to eat without the bottle. We put the spoon in his bottle because he didn't like it back then. This was something he really enjoyed. Here's the meat of the matter: Advantages: br>br>
- It aids in their filling up. When he was only on breast milk, our little guy couldn't get full. Every two hours, he would awaken. My poor wife was exhausted after 3 hours of wanting to eat in the middle of the night. He'd span four days if we fed him this cereal. We were able to go 5 hours between feedings, which was fantastic because we were finally getting some rest.
- It is easy to digest. When it came to starting our son on cereal, one of our greatest concerns was that he would become constipated. Of course, we began with something light, but this cereal had no effect on his bowels. He took it all in and digested it thoroughly.
- Puree can be added to it. We began making our own puree for our son when he was a little older. Blueberries and strawberries, for example, turned out to be far too runny in some of the purees. To thicken the puree, we would combine it with this oatmeal cereal. Not only did it give the puree more body, making it easier to feed, but our son seemed to prefer it to the blueberries and strawberries alone.
- It's available in six different colors. pack. If you're anything like us, you'll quickly run out of this stuff. It comes in a 6-pack, so it's a good deal. You'll have enough for a while before you need more, so pack ahead. This 6-pack is a winner for us. The pack lasted approximately 8 hours. 10 weeks. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product.
- The only issue we had with this cereal was the pour spout, which was excessively large and flat. If you were in a rush (for example, if you needed to get somewhere quickly), It's easy to make a mess by overpouring the cereal (especially if your child is screaming his lungs out at you). Aside from that, I have no issues. br>br>Overall, if your toddler is ready, we highly recommend this cereal.

Purchasing is not recommended. I'd heard that Gerber baby food contains metal, so I conducted an experiment to see if this was true, and YES, metal was present. I got a magnet and put all of the baby oatmeal in a clear ziplock bag. I placed it on top of the bag and immediately saw that it contained metal; do not purchase! Purchase a new item for your child!.

However, if you order it from here, please try it. After radiation, this is all I can eat with water on some days. Sugar can be helpful at times. They are to be commended for doing so. It tastes like a sirloin steak when you don't have anything else to eat. This corporation will be blessed by God. I double-check. br>br> This is the 12th time I've placed an order for it. I placed an order for the Oatmeal version at about the same time. I no longer order it from this establishment, and here's why: It has had a bad taste for the past two years. It has a spoiled taste to it, as if there are worms or something in it. It's not even close to being new. So I go to the local store and purchase it for a higher price, but it is fresh. It never loses its flavor. This is extremely disappointing to me, not only for myself, but also for babies who may unknowingly consume it. I'm not writing this lightly because I've placed orders totaling thousands of dollars, and this was a way for me to gain independence. I'll have to ask someone to get it for me now. It wasn't always this way. br>br> I'm not sure if it spent too much time in their factory. It didn't last long in my pantry, and the ones I buy in my local stores don't have the same nasty, almost slimy aftertaste as the ones I've ordered in the past few years. br>br>I don't say this lightly. I never asked for a refund and as a result, my rating dropped from five to one. I still eat it and order a lot from Amazon, which has become like family to me, but as a father of a 7-year-old, I feel compelled to share this for the sake of innocent children.

Since he was drinking about 9/9, my son's pediatrician recommended that we get rice cereal and add 1 tsp to every 2 oz of made bottle. Every three days, 5 oz 4 hrs (8 oz water 4 scoops of formula) and did this throughout the night to help thicken the bottle a little but not too much so that it wouldn't come out of the bottle (we had to purchase the next size bottle nipples for it to come out) and to keep him fuller longer as he wasn't able to have solids yet because he wasn't 4 months and didn't have great head control, but with him being a bigger size baby height wise ( It worked well and continues to do so. He is starting to eat the Gerber 1st Stage foods now that he is 4 months old, but only 1 oz of each food 30 minutes before bottles, and he is still getting the same size bottles of 8 oz water 4 scoops of formula 4 tsps of this rice cereal (makes about a 10 oz bottle), and he has been sleeping through the night since we started doing rice in his cereal before we started the foods, he started sleeping like 12 hours! br>br>To summarize, if your baby is eating a lot and not sleeping through the night and drinking full bottles, I recommend speaking with your pediatrician about adding 1 teaspoon of rice to every 2 ounces of a prepared bottle to help - It takes about a week or so to see if the rice is working:.
