These are Italian bottles that were shipped directly from Italy. It is possible to buy two bottles for a higher price, but I believe this was a deal with four bottles at that price. After returning from Italy, I tried Lemoncello for the first time. The local wine and grocery stores offered a variety of brands for me to try. My wife and I found this online and have ordered it for a few years now. It is by far the best I have ever tasted and is now a staple in my household. In the afternoon, there is nothing better than a chilled glass of Lemoncello on ice. You can't go wrong with it!.
Our exposure to limoncello began while we were on a trip traveling to Sorrento and Capri in Italy, so we have been purchasing various brands from Safeway or Trade Joes. The 4 pack was broken when it was received, and I was notified immediately. It took about a week for Marcati to send a replacement. I would rate it a 6 star if it were available - the best Limoncello we've ever tasted. Every house guest we have can't stop drinking it, and we went through 4 bottles before 6 months were up.
As someone who has been to Sorrento, I can attest that this liquor is delicious. I love how smooth it is when it is chilled.
