Questions & Answers
The clove flavor is very strong in this. I had this for coffee and have no idea what a Smokey margarita tastes like. To me, it tastes more like smoke or vanilla than clove.
Yes, absolutely!
The same thing happened to me, and it appears that mold is growing on top of it.
We kept the product in the pantry after it was opened and refrigerated after that.

Fast shipping, well-packaged, and excellent appearance. I couldn't wait to give it a go, so I whipped up an old fashioned in under an hour. First, I tasted it on its own, with nothing to hide or change. It had a strong clove aroma and flavor, but not a lot of vanilla. The thing I really wanted, and it's right there in the name, is "SMOKED. " No, I didn't get a whiff of any of that. Not in the least. Is it a problem? br> No, I'm just dissatisfied with the name compared to the product I received. A little muddled lemon, two real black cherries, and a splash of orange bitters were used to make this old-fashioned cocktail. The flavor is good, but there isn't any smokiness. Not long ago, I had a "smoked" old fashion at a bar (when we were able to go there), where the whiskey or bourbon was somehow smoked. It turned out to be excellent. Keep looking; this item isn't it. Ibr>Recently, Ibr>Ibr>Ibr>Re The entire bottle has been consumed. It became second nature to me after a while. My most recent version of the recipe 3 oz. bourbon, 1/2 oz. Traeger, 5 oz. bourbon 2 black cherries with syrup, 4 shakes orange bitters, 1/2 slice fresh orange, muddled Mix well and pour over ice for a smashing drink. As before, it's not exactly what I was looking for, but it's a hit with everyone I've served it to.

I've had it for 5 years and use it on a weekly basis, grilling and smoking everything under the sun. I haven't ventured into the drinks department with the grill yet, but I figured this would be a good bet after seeing what appeared to be some very tasty drinks on their app and website. br>br>First red flag: the cost - I could get a bottle of bourbon for less money. Okay, I'll take the risk and give it a shot anyway. Over the course of a few weeks, I made three different cocktails: I've made similar drinks before with regular simple syrup and enjoyed them a lot. Every single one of them was ruined by the Traeger brand. The flavor is utterly revolting! The smoke flavor, combined with the insane sweetness, completely devastates any drink into which it is added. I ended up flushing more drinks down the toilet than I consumed. To avoid wasting the first one, my wife actually held her nose and chugged the drink like she was back in college (she's a darling!). I can't make anything with this syrup in good conscience, even to serve at a party or on a holiday. It is a disaster! It will be 100 times better if you save your money and buy a $5 bottle of no-name simple syrup from the grocery store.
It's as pricey as the syrup. In less than a month, it should be mold-free.
Works as advertised in cocktails, and I've also used it to round out the flavor of a variety of fall and winter beers that were too harsh or bitter on their own. For a more complex sweetness in coffee, add a pinch of nutmeg. The ingredients are simple to incorporate. It's not too strong. It's all very good. I'll be getting it again without a doubt.
I bought this and all the other ingredients for my husband's Father's Day gift, and he said it was one of the best drinks he'd ever had, despite my limited bartending skills. He claims that the smoky flavor is present and that it gives drinks a unique edge. This is something we will definitely buy again.
This is exactly what I'm looking for in a smoked old fashioned. It's thick, delicious, and reasonably priced. My only wish is that I could be a little more smoky. To get the flavor I want, I'd have to add a lot of it, but then it'd be too sweet. br>I'll keep looking, but until I get there, this syrup will keep me happy.
I used to love Tippleman's smoked maple syrup (which was given to me as a gift), but when I went to buy more, I was shocked at the price; the Traeger stuff is much less expensive and tastes just as good, if not better. The clove flavor is more prominent than the smoke flavor. In an old fashioned, it pairs beautifully with bourbon. Two thumbs up from me.
