Customers will appreciate it if you make it easy for them! Amazon needs to get real Is it because it's impossible to send cards bearing a value? My employees receive many different gifts that I order - ranging from certificates to gift baskets. The way you make this seem is WAY more difficult than it really In order to write the amount on the envelope, I have to sort, log in, and look up the code. In addition to 1/2 of the cards having the value on them, 1/2 of them don't. That's a super painful experience. As a result, I am questioning whether or not I should give these Amazon cards away.
As part of our corporate Christmas party, we purchased 27 cards in three different amounts to award as gifts for first, second, and third place. Matching the card numbers to the amounts was done using the enclosed packing slip. There were 27 cards, and 25 of the amounts listed were incorrect! We therefore provided incorrect prizes. This resulted in us spending a great deal of time and receiving extra $250 in cash since the prizes we designed were inaccurate. About two hours on the phone with three different Amazon Customer Service Representatives went unproductive since none of them understood my dilemma and did not care about me. As a result of the third person's assistance, I was able to calculate the actual cost of each card.
I consider this purchase a huge mistake that I will never, under any circumstance, make again.
It turns out I ordered 2 gift cards and they have been lost. One of the replacements was sent immediately, which I appreciated, but the other one looks like it had been folded up and thrown away. This is not something I would give away to a colleague tomorrow if I didn't have to keep it as a gift, I would have returned it. This is a very disappointing experience. I've got a $200 gift card it seems to be worth as little as $2.
It cost me a considerable amount of money to buy this gift card for a close friend. I did not realize that Amazon was applying the value of the card to my purchases even as the card was being sent to me. A few weeks ago, I purchased this to take with me on a trip to Utah to visit my family.
