Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use something bought in the United States in another country?

Only valid in the United States of America. It's all in the details, as they say.

Is everyone aware that Amazon will charge you for these cards even if they do not arrive?

The most common complaint is that people receive the card but it is not activated. br>br>However, the majority of people who have purchased or will purchase this card need to know what to look for when they open the box (an activation slip in the form of a receipt indicating that it has been activated). Then you must register, set up a pin, and check your balance on the website listed on the back of the card. br>br>It's not as if Amazon will abandon you if you don't receive your product or if you receive a card that hasn't been activated.

Is it possible to use something bought in the United States in another country?

When we buy gift cards for other countries on Amazon, we always purchase them in that country's currency and pay for them in our own. So, the most recent one we purchased was a $US25 voucher (which cost us $32 Australian), so our niece received the $US25 card in the currency she is familiar with and does not have to worry about working out exchange rates or determining how much she can spend when placing an order. This is something that Amazon allows you to do.

Is the card delivered to your home, or do you receive the code via email? mail?

It's a real card, House.

As stated in the contract! As promised, the amount on the card ($25) was received
5/5

The registration of the card was a breeze - I'm not sure why there are some negative reviews on here because the process was extremely quick. So that's why I was hesitant to order the card, but also why I wanted to share my story - The card was brand new and arrived promptly.

Terrible
3/5

I tried to buy something on Amazon with the card, but it didn't work. Also, the card must be activated before it can be used anywhere else! It appears that you will not know whether or not you will be able to use it ahead of time. Right now, it appears that I am simply out of money!.

This is a gift card that I purchased. I made the decision to keep it. It was declined both times I tried to use it! Once you've paid the activation fee, you'll be ready to go. It does not appear to be turned on. My $28 had been squandered. 95!.

They delivered to the wrong apartment, but thanks to the person who handed it over to the manager, I was able to retrieve them

I bought three of these and called to make sure they all had a balance, which they did. However, I went to buy some things with my card and paid $14 at one store, and when I tried to use it again, it wouldn't work, even though the card had $10 left on it. I called to make sure, but it still got declined. Why!.

I'm not going to buy anything else in the future

I gave up and got them down to like 3 dollars and threw them away because they didn't work half the time and the balances were constantly changing and never correct.

DO NOT ORDER ANY OF THESE GIFT CARDS! HORRIBLE! Whatever you decide to do
3/5

BUYING GIFT CARDS ON AMAZON IS NOT A GOOD IDEA. These were given out as prizes at a big event. My guests all called me a few days later to tell me that none of their cards had been activated. Embarrassing is an understatement! From now on, I'll buy gift cards from my local drugstore and ignore Amazon's questionable business practices.

Disappointing in the extreme! Please be aware

br>Well, I was hoping to leave feedback directly to the seller in order to try and help them through understanding rather than leaving angry and unsatisfied feedback directly on the Amazon website, but I couldn't find a way to do that, so to speak, ex parte. So please accept my apologies for leaving negative feedback, but it must be heard, as it appeared to be entirely legitimate. I'm guessing I didn't read enough reviews before buying this card; I'm not sure how I missed it. It wouldn't have taken more than a few to realize that they were all pretty negative, but in any case, I ran into the same general problem that many others did. This card was neither viable nor usable, nor was it accepted- It didn't matter what I did, who I talked to, how I registered it, or how many times I was forced to register it; it didn't matter. It even told me that the information (my area code) I had registered the day before when registering the card online was not the same or "correct" information that they had online/on file for me after I tried the transaction again the next day. Which is absurd, given that I had just entered my information the day before during registration and activation (and obviously know my area code and address better than an incredibly UNHELPFUL Visa gift card website). And the one and only time I was actually able to reach a human for assistance was that first evening, after activation and several unsuccessful attempts at making a purchase (which only added to my concerns about the legitimacy of this card), whom then informed me that the reason for the problem was that the expiration date that was physically printed on MY Visa gift card was different than the one THEY HAD ON FILE IN THEIR SYSTEM. I didn't know what to make of it because it was SO OUT OF THE BOX. I mean- It's a gift card, and as such, it appears to be any other gift card (while still in its packaging), just like the ones you'd find at Walmart or any other retailer and which come in their own packaging. On the surface, you'd think this would help to verify its authenticity. However, appearances can be deceiving in this situation. Outside of the packaging, it does not appear to be quite like a typical Visa credit card, as it is much thinner and flimsier. I assume it's because it's intended to be thrown away. In any case, this is the first time I've ever heard of such a blunder. And that error was to blame for the card's total failure and malfunction. That's a strange situation. Is the card's number being printed incorrectly? Not only is it an unusual and unheard-of mistake, but the mere thought of it? Take a moment to consider that. Especially if the situation was slightly DIFFERENT, in that this wasn't the prepaid GIFT CARD department, but rather your Visa DEBIT CARD/BANKING department, and the printing on the cards had gotten all jumbled up, imprinted, and misappropriated in some way. Then distributed to various account holders around the world at random! Just think about it! The potential for untold numbers of lawsuits would be incredible! That is your PERSONAL information that is being given to someone else, and not only can they use that card and information to gain access to your account and the funds in it, but they can also do whatever they want with it! It amazes me that such a thing is even possible! Anyway, after they gave me the supposedly correct expiration date and assured me that this would solve the problem and that I should be able to use it from now on, I tried to use the card again, this time in a few different places to make sure it wasn't the places I was attempting to purchase that were preventing the card from being accepted. So I waited until morning, thinking maybe it's just a really slow card for some reason, but when I tried again in the morning, I got nothing but the same frustrating decline After Decline, and wouldn't you know, now that I've tried to use the card with its new expiration date, following the customer service rep's advice, I can't get in touch with ANY human beings. I'm not sure how I did it last night- Because there aren't any alternatives for that. Option eight and option b are to enter your card number and register your card, or to report your card as lost or stolen, which would have rendered the card completely useless even if I was able to resolve the issues with customer service assistance. Which was even more aggravating than the rest because how UNHELPFUL can you get? As well as from the Mogul. no. . Credit card companies are a GIANT that will never be suffocated. You'd think that with all of their never-ending resources (financial and otherwise), THEY could provide "slightly" more effective and helpful customer service, even if it was all done via recorded message or machine, which seemed a little sketchy to me. They didn't want to be responsible for their cards and, as a result, be available and accessible to the customer, it appeared. And, while it wasn't a large Visa gift card purchase, it WAS one that I made for a specific reason. This was significant and thought about at a specific TIME. So it was RATHER UNFORTUNATE, to put it mildly and politely, and that is using restraint. In fact, I'm quite enraged. So I called Amazon this morning and they were unable to provide me with much in the way of an immediate solution, despite the fact that the representatives I did speak with were ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL AND HELPFUL, as Amazon Representatives are known to be. They tried their hardest, but because it was the prepaid gift card department, they couldn't really assist me with an exchange, return, or ensuring that I was able to successfully exchange it for one that I could actually use- I don't want to be OUT of money. Because that is simply not acceptable. It's not going to work for me. I don't think Amazon would want it any other way. They are always courteous, professional, and accommodating. They appear to be sincere and trustworthy in their dealings. Which is NOT something I can say for 95% of the other companies in business today. Anyway, the best she could do for me at this point was send an email to the appropriate department detailing the situation and instructing them to contact ME directly to resolve the problem. Which, much to my chagrin, could take a few days. That must not be the case. I'm hoping it's simply Amazon's struggle to get their people, logistics, and business operations up and running smoothly across the country. 19 crisis, and that they don't usually have an entire department absent when issues like this one arise, because, like any order, this one will irritate customers just as easily and must be considered and amended just as quickly. So I'll be waiting for them, and hopefully this is constructive criticism that they can use to confront and address the stale and/or bogus cards they're being given to fulfill and sell buy Visa. Because they're a little shady to begin with. None of them are items I would recommend to anyone. I'm not sure if the MasterCards and or other various prepaid gift card Distributors on Amazon have the same problems, but keep this in mind if you want to buy them because it will be very disappointing. All I have to say is that they are extremely fortunate that this was not a gift for my child. Because his dissatisfaction would be enough to give birth to a far more unpleasant version of myself. And I am not normally unpleasant; in fact, even in situations that are extremely disappointing, such as this, I am always very pleasant and happy. It isn't the customer service representative's fault, so I try to remember that and be as pleasant and helpful to them as they are to me. In any case, best of luck! And remember, you're buying it on your own dime! br> br> br> br> br>.
