Because I don't have the sapphire version of the watch, I use glass screen protectors to prevent scratches on the face. The bezel creates just enough of a bump above the screen protector to absorb the brunt of any hard screen contact. In the previous month, I had broken four screen protectors. It has never cracked since I installed it. The only disadvantage is that it is only semi-permanent. Without additional adhesive tape, I won't be able to pull it off and put it back on. I really wish they'd made one without the white lettering in gunmetal. Overall, I'm relieved to know that the watch will be better protected.

This was great at first, but after about a month, it popped off and wouldn't reattach. Until this occurs, it appears that dust accumulates beneath it. The design appears to be flawed because there is a gap between the inside of the bezel and the watch; however, if you clean your watch before applying the bezel, the problem will only be delayed. This is not going to be a long-term project. Protect your watch in the long run with this long-term solution.

I bought it because the DLC on my black fenix was starting to wear out (after three years, and I'm a hardy watch wearer). This improved the appearance while also adding additional protection against future dings. It was simple to apply and has stayed put ever since, even through swimming and rain.

In general, I like the quality and look and feel that this accessory provides to the Fénix. The issue is that I spend a lot of time in damp and humid environments. I'm not sure if you'll be able to resist the double contact cinta that clings to your wrist.

Very low cost! The bezel in the item arrived with irregular curves. The white lettering on the black bezel ring had faded and was beginning to peel away. If it were a $5 part, it would be acceptable, but at $16, it is a waste of money.
