I was hesitant to buy because of the price, but I'm glad I did. Because it matched my wedding ring, I went with black on black. It gives the watch a more expensive appearance. I have a 44MM Series 5 watch.
As advertised, this band is not suitable for smaller watch bands. It leaves extra "wings" on either side of the watch when installed, which can easily snag on things. (see photo)br>br>The item's title reads, "Bestig Compatible for Apple Watch Band 38mm 40mm 42mm 44mm Premium Solid Stainless Steel. " If you own a 38mm or 40mm watch, don't believe it.
I'm not convinced that a band that costs only $19 can be any good. It was a pleasant surprise for me. The watch band was a perfect fit for the Apple Watch (44mm). What's more, it appears and feels much more expensive than it is. Because I've only had it for a few days and haven't worn it much, I can't say for sure how long it will last. It's very comfortable and feels great on the wrist after adjustment, and the adjustment tool that came with it is a lifesaver; without it, I'd have to take it to a professional.
This Apple Watch band is a decent third-party option. I appreciate the fact that the link removal tool depicted in the images was the one that appeared. I ordered two other bands similar to this one, and the link removal was far superior to the one that arrived, which was essentially useless. It takes some getting used to and a steady hand to use the tool they provide, but it does the job. br>br>The finish on this band isn't great, and mine already had a couple of noticeable nicks that I noticed right away when I put it on. It appears to be a cheaply painted piece of metal to me. It serves the purpose it needs to serve for the price point and to avoid having to spend a lot of money on the Apple version.
To make room for my 5, I'm removing 7 links. The flimsy tool kept moving around when the handle was turned, making it difficult to keep the point on the pin. inch wrist was a bit of a pain. I was able to get the band small enough to fit perfectly on my wrist after much patience and the use of two extra pins that came with the band. I have a 44mm Series 6 gold aluminum watch head, and the matte rose gold/polished rose gold color is as close to a perfect match as you can get. The matte rose gold matches the matte finish of the watch head, which is one of my favorite features of the band.
The Bestig was the third band I had tried in my search for a band that would provide me with durability, style, and class at a reasonable price. The other bands had a coppery tone to them instead of a true gold tone. That requirement is met by the Bestig Compatible for Apple Watch Band 42mm 44mm Premium Solid Stainless Steel Metal Replacement Adjustable Sport Wristband Bracelet Strap for iWatch Series 6 SE 5 4 3 2 1 (Matte Gold/Polished Gold). I'm so happy I found it, and the true gold color is perfect. For a proper fit, I had to remove some links, but it wasn't a big deal, so everything turned out great!.
I had the Milanese style watch band, which was very adjustable and comfortable, but the magnets in the clasp would skew the compass reading on the watch when I had my arm resting on the desk while typing on a keyboard. As a result, I switch watch bands on a regular basis. br>br>One issue with this watch band is that it can only be adjusted by removing a link from the band, and it lacks the fine adjustments that my older watch bands did. There used to be a set of holes on the clasp where you could micro adjust the length of the band; however, it's currently a little too loose. I can fit my finger between the band and my wrist, but removing one more link makes it too tight, especially when you bend your wrist. br>br>Overall, it's a good band, but I wish there was a little more size adjustment.
It's difficult to give a definitive assessment of after only two days with this watchband. any aspect of it, to be precise! It has a pleasing appearance and appears to be well constructed. But the band it replaced had the small stud that locks the band closed snap off after just a few days over a year, leaving me with a pretty useless paperweight. As a result, there is no obvious way to fix such a product failure. And this new band appears to have the EXACT SAME LATCHING MECHANISM as the previous one. As a result, only time will tell whether it outlasts its predecessor. Having said that, I like the look and feel of this band; it has a far more solid feel to it than one might expect for the price, and I am looking forward to wearing it for a long time, but as previously stated, only time will tell.
