OtterBox Gaming Controller Carrying Case for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Elite Series 2 Wireless Controllers - BLACK

I wish I'd been aware of these earlier! My husband's brand-new controller ended up with one of the joysticks constantly leaning to the left after our most recent international flight, and the only explanation we could come up with was that it got messed up in his backpack during the journey. He's been taking older controllers on long work trips since then so he doesn't ruin his good controllers in his luggage, but he gets frustrated having to use the less-than-ideal controllers. I came across these while looking for a hard case for my switch for a trip coming up. We haven't taken our trip yet, so I'll update this if we have issues with them in transit, but the Amazon box they came in looked like someone had thrown a bowling ball on top of it, and the cases themselves looked like they hadn't been touched at all, so I'm expecting them to definitely do the trick. The controller is nicely cradled in the case, despite the fact that they are a bit bulky. I like the cord storage, and the hole in the case for charging the controller is a nice touch, though I'm not sure we'll use it. However, I like that the hole cover appears to seal well, which I was worried about because of the water resistance, but I don't think any water could get in through it. The phone stand is a neat addition. It's nice that there's room for a phone clip, but it's also what makes the case so bulky, and I wish there was a version without it. Other reviews stated that you must purchase the Otterbox brand clip in order for it to fit, which I'm not sure about because we've never used and probably won't use phone clip attachments. But, if we did, it would be nice to have everything in one place, especially for long international flights, so I see the benefit, but I'm not sure I'll use it. It would be even better if it came with a carabiner or other means of attaching it to the outside of a bag. I wouldn't want to carry it around with me too much where it could be easily stolen, but I'm guessing we'll have to remove it to go through security, so having it readily available would be useful.

Overall, a very nice and sturdy carrying case with storage for extra batteries and a short cord for wired gaming. Unfortunately, it does not fit with the MOGA gaming clip, so I had to spend twice as much on the Otterbox gaming clip, but I'm happy overall, if a little disappointed.

It would be even better if I could keep my phone in it while using it as a controller. The outside magnet isn't very strong, so if you try to walk with your phone attached to it, it will fall off.

I really like how it looks, and my Xbox One controller fits in perfectly. This case is very portable and easy to take with you on the go, and it offers a lot of protection. There's even enough room inside for a phone holder and more room for cables or whatever else you want to put in it. If you have a charging system for the controller, there is an opening in the front where you can connect it to charge while in the case. The top-mounted flip-up mount is very handy, and it keeps my phone at an excellent viewing angle. Overall, I enjoy this case, and it's ideal for mobile gaming on the go! It appeals to me.
