Not in the least. If you clean the screen thoroughly before applying the screen protector, you won't notice it while playing. I played Ocarina of Time 3D for 60 hours on this screen, keeping the 3D depth at maximum the entire time with a New 3DS XL. There are no issues.
This was purchased as a present for my son. It was a perfect match for the 3DS XL. whichever version was the most recent at the time of last Christmas
Because it is a film protector, the screen protector for the bottom screen is significantly less reflective. However, because the top one's screen protector is tempered glass, it reflects quite a bit, if not nearly as much as if it weren't there.
All 3ds xl should be able to use it.

I purchased two orders because the bottom screens on these appear to fit better than the others. However, one of the bottom screen protectors was scratched right out of the box, and two others didn't have any adhesive or stick on the back. How did these even make it out of the factory in such a state? It's not good enough.
It is of excellent quality and is simple to wear. I've used a lot of different types of protectors over the years, and this is by far the most professional. Also, it's a bargain!.
Installing it was a breeze, and the cost was well worth it.

I'm not sure what I'll put in it, but I'll keep the little box haha. Screen protectors are always useful, especially if you get glass ones. I bought a set of four in case one breaks during installation. They're usually simple for me to install, and I'm terrible at it because I have shaky hands that shake even more when I concentrate. They appeal to me in every way! It was well worth the money, especially when compared to paying the same price for only two pieces. Make sure you've got a back-up plan! So go ahead and buy a four-pack just in case!.
A screen protector is recommended for the 3DS XL, just like any other device in this day and age. In fact, the 3DS/3DS XL are more scratch-prone than other Nintendo handhelds. It's simple to install this screen protector - I messed up the first installation of the top screen protector, but it comes with two top and two bottom protectors, and the second one went on fine once I figured out what I was doing and how to line it up, and removing the first screen protector from the messed up installation did not scratch or scuff the screen at all, which is always nice to see from a screen protector, and this one is no different than others in that regard. It's a great deal, and I feel much safer with it on, especially since my old 3DS was badly scratched. This works with both older and newer 3DS XL systems. This is a must-have for anyone who owns a new 3DS XL.
