Questions & Answers

Is the usability of a touch screen protected by a touch screen protector?

The bottom screen is not rendered useless by this screen protector; it functions normally. However, some tempered glass protectors make the bottom screen difficult to use.

Will it fit on my Nintendo 2DS XL Poké Ball, and how easy is it to apply?

It should work fine, and it's not difficult to do.

Does this work with the new 3DS XL from Nintendo?

The new 2ds models aren't the only ones with this feature.

Will this work with the new 3DSXL? The screens are the same size, according to Nintendo's website?

Because the 3dsxl is thicker and has different edges, I'm pretty sure it won't fit.

It works on the New 3DS XL's bottom screen as well! The most effective defense system ever! Hori screen protectors are my favorite
5/5

I had a dual IPS New 3DS XL unit that I put Hori protectors on, and I was impressed not only with how simple the process was, but also with how well the protection held up against stylus scratches. In my search for dual IPS screens over the last few years, I've had several 3DS, New 3DS, and New 3DS XL units, all of which I've protected with screen protectors. Hori, on the other hand, is by far the best. If they were even the slightest bit nervous, anyone who got a lot of bubbles obviously did not follow directions or watch any application videos on YouTube. These protectors aren't applied the same way as others, which solves a lot of problems! As long as you have a clean screen and patience, it can be done in multiple parts and will remove bubbles as you apply it. br>br>The New 2DS XL was just released by Nintendo. I'm keeping my N3DS XL because none of these units has an IPS screen. However, I was looking for a second N3DS XL dual IPS unit to use as a backup. just-in-time Given that I do not intend to purchase the N2DS, this is the case. I was able to get my hands on a nice Galaxy N3DSXL dual IPS unit, but Hori appears to have discontinued their screen protectors for that model. I couldn't help myself and had to make do with what I had. and then there was something else, which was awful. You Pokemon players are well aware that you must pet a large number of Pokemon, and a shoddy protector can quickly ruin your screen with a slew of scratches. It was I who said that. It was unbearable for me! The scratches were all that could be seen in the daylight. br>So I decided to compare the bottom screen sizes of the N2DS XL and the N3DS XL, and sure enough, the bottom screens were the same size, allowing me to purchase these protectors for my N3DS XL. Because the N2DS XL protector covers a larger area than the N3DS XL screen size, I still have the lame protector on top, but it doesn't matter because it won't be touched. br>br>I couldn't wait for this protector to arrive, so I slapped it on right away. It was ridiculously simple, with no bubbles, and I completed it in under a minute. AND NO SCRATCHES for petting pokemon, as promised by Hori! You can't go wrong with these protectors unless you don't pay attention to the instructions or have the patience of a toddler. Someone shared a photo of their apartment with dozens of bubbles all over it. If Hori is used correctly, this is simply not possible. NOT EVEN CLOSE! Obviously, they tore off all the sections at once and tried to apply it like all the other protectors out there in one fell swoop, with no regard for safety.

- To begin, wipe down your monitor. A soft cloth will suffice for this task. To help with this, take a hot shower and apply it in the bathroom, as steam in the air helps to keep dust at bay. A piece of tape can be used to remove any stubborn debris. Breathe hot air onto your screen and wipe away any smudges or fingerprints. Never clean your screen with water or any other type of cleaning agent! Do not wipe your screen with a paper towel!

- Second, before laying it down, make sure the Hori protector is clean on both sides, especially the side facing down. Use tape and dab it, as well as your breath, if necessary.

- Third, peel away sticker 1, which only removes a small square. Only the square will stick, which makes it easier to align the protector perfectly on your screen. Press down on the square once you're happy with the position.

- Remove sticker 2 in the fourth step. This will start peeling back the protector on one side only from the bottom. As you peel away the underside of the protector, use the piece of cardstock that came with the package to press down onto the top of the protector, pressing towards your peeling motion. It's best if you press close to the area that's currently being peeled away. Two hands are required for this. one to peel away and one to press as you go There will be no trapped bubbles as a result of this. Don't worry, because of Sticker 1, everything will stay in place as you work.

- Fifth, repeat steps 4 and 5 on the opposite side. br>br>- Sixth, carefully peel Sticker 4 away from the entire top of the protector, and you're finished. You shouldn't have any bubbles, but if you do, they should be around the edges or something. If not, disperse them with the card piece by slowly working them outward towards the edges. These are the best in the industry. br>br> Hori will always be my first choice over any other less expensive option.

It's a great fit and it's simple to put on
4/5

There are no bubbles in this picture. This is most likely the best screen protector money can buy. It's simple to set up and gets rid of all bubbles. Great product. br>br>**Update** According to the instructions, if any dust gets into the screen protector, you can remove it and reapply it. Which I attempted, but it failed miserably and worsened the situation. Still a good product, but make sure the screen is completely dust-free before using it.

Simply purchase HORI screen protectors; the rest of the world is still catching up
4/5

In the world of screen protectors, this is the gold standard. Comes with everything you need to properly install the protectors and is by far the easiest product to install on a device in a well-lit environment. aligned and bubble-free are two words that come to mind when thinking about aligne in an unrestricted manner I just wish they included two protectors in each package rather than just one in case of user error. It would save money on shipping, and if I completed the application correctly the first time, I'd have backups in case they were scratched. The only minor criticism I have is that because the top screen isn't a touchscreen, the protector for it is a little light in comparison to other products. Although a heavier protector is almost certainly unnecessary, it would be nice to have one.

HORRIBLY CHEAP PRODUCT, most likely the worst officially licensed Nintendo product I've ever purchased
3/5

At work, I deal with coated acrylic/plexiglass/glass all day, so I'm familiar with film coatings. These are the most shoddy, crappy screen covers I've ever seen. If you're going to trust a reviewer's words, you should probably listen to a tradesman who is familiar with the materials in question. Don't buy this nonsense, I'm telling you. It's a complete disgrace that they're three times the price of the other Amazon competitors. br>br>To name just a few of the numerous issues:br>1. The cheap burnishing tool they provide to remove air bubbles scratches the covers, so that price increase isn't going to the materials. br>2. On the backside of both sheets of film, the Step 1 adhesive tape leaves a large square of residue. Do you require evidence? 3. Take a look at my photosbr> If they made a better product, their final tab removal would be completely unnecessary; you're simply adding more bubbles for no reason. br>4. The material bunches and wrinkles PERMANENTLY at the edges, effectively turning it into a bubble-proof material. Instead of a protector, make a devicebr>5. The touch screen protector has a VERY rough surface, which makes using the stylus extremely difficult. As soon as the things started, sensitivity and accuracy dropped by half at the very least. br>br>This is complete nonsense. Hori should be ashamed of themselves for what they've done. If Hori's hare-sticky residue is clearly visible, Nothing, not even a well-thought-out installation procedure, will convince you otherwise. You can't look away from what you're seeing. The images are self-explanatory.

It isn't a bad application
3/5

The issue is that after your screen has been. It isn't a bad application. The issue is that once your screen is clean, you press the plastic backing from side 2 into your screen. Three people are pressed against the wall. More dust is left on the screen as a result of this. After side two was installed, I had to remove it and clean the screen before simply pulling the backing off side three and laying it down. If you can keep all the dust off the plastic backing or clean under that area before pressing the protector to the screen, I think it's easier to just peel the backing off and lay it down. When it's time to replace it, I'll almost certainly go with tempered glass.

Protector of excellent quality
5/5

After having had a great experience with the same protector for my older daughter's 3DS XL, it was a no-brainer to get this protector for my younger daughter's 2DS XL. These protectors have an excellent installation process that results in a clear, slick protector. I can't tell it's there because it's so small. Hori products are my favorites; they're not your run-of-the-mill imports, and they're well worth the extra cost.

Exceptional defense
5/5

This screen protector set is the best on the market - When they're applied, there's no optical distortion, and the bottom protector has stood up to (admittedly light) use. The best way to install is on a clean, well-prepared surface. The results are worth it if you work on a well-lit surface and have a little patience.
