First and foremost, let me state that I have installed these on two 2DS and one 2DS XL, and I must say that they are an excellent screen protector. The tempered glass on the top screen looks and feels great, and it completely covers the screen with few, if any, gaps. This is a big pet peeve of mine because the bigger the gaps are, the more dust and crud has a chance to settle in and make everything look sloppy. There's not much room for that here. br>br>The touch screen protector is much thinner and not tempered glass for obvious reasons. This is to be expected, as the touch response is required in this situation. Even with the protector, both consoles' touch pads remained responsive and functional. br>br>The four stars are due to the "instructions" for installation and the materials provided. The protectors themselves have really helpful stickers to help you figure out which side is which and to make the masking process go more smoothly. However, I believe that the instructions are overly simplistic. I wouldn't have known what to do if I hadn't worn a dozen screen protectors over the years. You should also toss the provided "cleaning" cloths in the trash. They come in pairs. The first wipe is supposed to be a wet, alcohol-based wipe, but it was bone dry in two of the three I tried from Akwox. I went ahead and used the 2DS XL because it was wet. It was a blunder on my part. Even after wiping the screen down with the second, "dry" cloth, whatever cleanser was on the pad left the screen streaky and covered in residue. Avoid these at all costs. Simply grab an alcohol prep pad (similar to those found in first-aid kits - see below). They're cheap at CVS or Walgreens by the box) and you'll need a lint-free item (I use coffee filters). br>br>Here are a few pointers: Wipe the screens down with the alcohol pad, then wipe them down again with the coffee filter. It's as neat as a pin. Have a can of compressed air on hand as well, and work in a bathroom with the shower running hot to add moisture to the air. This isn't enough moisture to harm your electronics, but it will help to settle all of those pesky dust particles in the air, reducing the chance of them landing on your nice clean screen. Finally, from start to finish, go through each screen one at a time. If you try to do them both at the same time, you'll just end up with particles on one of them while you're working on the other. br>br>Once again, I would recommend this product; just be aware of what you're getting yourself into when it comes to installation, and you'll be pleased with the results.

First and foremost, let me state that I am an EXPERT in the installation of both plastic and tempered glass screen protectors. In fact, I'm the one who makes sure that all of my family's devices are protected. I've never done anything wrong when it comes to installing software. This is the first time, however, that a screen protector I applied has started to peel. Not only the bottom screen's plastic, but also the TEMPERED GLASS! br>br>Despite my best efforts, the top left corner of the tempered glass continues to peel. It'll stay down for a day or two, but it'll start peeling again the next day. The peeling is now becoming more severe. The photo I'm including was taken the week I got the protectors, but the peeling is now WORSE (2 months later). br>br>I don't hold high expectations for plastic protectors, but I've never had to deal with a pair of bad-tempered glasses. The plastic one is peeling as well, and the entire right side hasn't stuck since the beginning. br>br>It irritates me to have to push the protectors down EVERY TIME I WANT TO PLAY MY NEW NINTENDO 2DS XL BECAUSE IT ANNOYS ME TO SEE IT HALF-PEELED WHILE I'M PLAYING MY GAMES. br>br>Once again, I'd like to point out that I'm not one of those people who doesn't read instructions; I do, and I'm a pro at applying screen protectors. This item is a complete disaster. br>br>I usually avoid leaving negative reviews because it makes me feel bad, but I paid for something that isn't performing as it should. This is something you should avoid!.

One try was all it took to get the bottom screen protector to fit perfectly and apply without any bubbles or issues. The top screen protector, on the other hand, is a different story; it went on without any bubbles, but for some reason, no matter how I oriented it, it would not stay in place. Even after pinning the two top corners to the screen with clothespins for a few hours, they would pop back up, leaving two annoying bubbles. I discarded the first one, assuming I had applied it incorrectly several times, causing the adheasive to lose its grip. At first, I thought this solved the problem, but later that day it, too, suffered from the same problem. I tried again, this time removing it and rotating it 180 degrees, so the "bottom" was at the top, and the same problem occurred.

First and foremost, I'd like to express my one criticism of this. br>The wet wipes are fine; it's the dry wipes with which I have a problem. They left streaks, and I had to get a microfiber cloth to properly wipe away the remaining solution and dust. br>br>Please keep this in mind. If you have a good microfiber cloth or glasses wipe, use it if possible. br>br>Overall, the setup was simple. Because I misplaced the bottom one, I had to use both protectors. (Dust)
The top one was really easy and I had no problems.
Both cover almost 100%, and what isn not covered can not be touched due to the plastic% br>Because of the top protector's thickness, the circle pad leaves an imprint. However, this is on the left side of the top screen and does not bother me. It's simple to wipe it away with your finger if it irritates you. br>br>I gave it five stars because, despite the minor issue with the dry wipe, it's inexpensive, and if you get screen protectors for your devices on a regular basis (or wear glasses), you're probably already familiar with microfiber cloths.
