The product is just a cable that plugs into a DS and a USB port, so long as you plug it into a USB port or wall adapter, you'll be fine. This is just a USB charger plugged into a USB port. It was my understanding that this was going to be a braided cable made of nylon or something similar. It turns out that the cable is surrounded by some kind of braided wire. It looks like it will hold up pretty well. There is a longer cable than what you get with the traditional Nintendo chargers. There is no problem with it. It's hard for me to say how fast or slow it charges, since I haven't used it enough to know whether it's faster or slower. The braided wire that surrounds the cable is just not flexible enough for me to give it a 5 star rating. As of now, it is still in the flat, un-curved shape it was shipped in and I have not managed to flex it.

Playing on the go requires a compact charging cable that you can use while traveling.
