This DVD player will play PAL DVDs and output them in the system that your TV prefers (NTSC or PAL). It will try to figure out what kind of TV you have, but the remote has a N/P button that allows you to choose between Auto, NTSC, or PAL output. My Samsung Smart TV is capable of receiving both NTSC and PAL signals. If your TV can accept a PAL signal, a PAL DVD will look better than an NTSC DVD (576 horizontal lines) if you output it as a PAL signal (576 horizontal lines) instead of a NTSC signal (480 horizontal lines).
I'm not sure because I stopped using it almost right away. DO NOT BUY is still my recommendation.
We don't recommend it because it's designed to be used flat and could cause disc reading issues.

It doesn't blow you away; it simply does the job of a DVD player.
After my Emerson died, I needed a budget multi-region DVD player. As expected, it functions properly. HDMI and audio/video cables were included in the box!.
S. government employee also includes regions! This is fantastic! Sarah was purchased by us. Duck from the United States was shipped. While in quarantine, we were overjoyed to receive the DVDs, but they wouldn't play in our regular DVD player. DVDs can only be played in specific regions. That was new to me! But, in any case, it was a quick fix. I made the connection. I put the disc in the player. We are overjoyed! I didn't use the HDMI cable that came with it; instead, I used the other cord that came with it. It appeared to be successful. It took 3 minutes for this non-tech savvy mom to unbox the package. I would strongly suggest it.
Small, simple to set up, USB port on the front for loading your own photos, music, etc. , and quick and easy registration for the additional 3-year warranty. I only wish the information had stated that the remote did not come with batteries.
I bought two of these (mostly to get two remote controls), but neither of them will work with my Samsung smart TV. Turn on the TV after plugging in the power and making sure the HDMI is turned on. "No Signal" is selected from the HDMI port. The HDMI cable was replaced, and the problem persisted. The same thing happens if you switch the HDMI ports. I tried manually setting up the TV, but it still said "No Signal. " I'm stuck with two large paperweights because I'm past the 30-day mark.
I recently purchased this and have only used it a couple of times. It does the job, but I only use it to watch Beachbody workout videos. When it is playing a DVD, it makes a hum or noise. It is a simple DVD player. It was a breeze to get everything up and running - Simply plugging into an outlet and connecting via HDMI or RCA AV cable is all that is required. I had no issues using the RCA AV cable. The remote control is small, measuring approximately 5 inches in length. It's 5" in diameter and requires two AAA batteries to operate. The remote control battery cover was difficult to remove, but it was eventually removed.
This works on a technical level. br>br>In other words, if you put a DVD in it and figure out how to use the controls, it will play a movie of reasonable quality. br>br>However, if you look at the remote, you'll notice that it's a jumble of buttons, the majority of which are extremely small. The Play and Pause buttons are the most frequently used. What is the location of that? It's tiny, and it's hidden amongst a slew of other tiny buttons. br>br>I purchased this for my mother, who lives in an apartment and receives care. Before giving up, I tried three times to teach her how to use this. I'm having a hard time getting the buttons to work. The remote's controls are all so small. br>br>So I unhooked it and told her I'd find something more manageable. br>br>This may be fine if you're young and tech-savvy, but it was a waste of money for my elderly mother (and me).
Everything you'll need is included, it's simple to set up and use, and it works flawlessly; there's nothing more you could ask for.
