Questions & Answers
Great. It will work in any region. Blu-ray or DVD?
Yes, there is a remote included.
This player is capable of playing DVDs as well as Blu-ray discs.
YES. HDMI output includes both video and audio, and HDMI is a digital format. Because my digital receiver has HDMI inputs, I can play digital audio directly in all of the surround modes. There are no TOSLINK or digital coax outputs on this unit, and there are no analog outputs, but these are outdated standards that are being phased out in favor of pure HDMI. br>br>The real question to consider is: Is there a HDMI input on your RECEIVER? If it does, you're good to go. br>br>By the way, you can find answers like this by looking through manuals online.

I carefully opened the box, excitedly setting it up in my bedroom to watch movies. Because I primarily watch Netflix and Amazon Prime, one of the main reasons I chose this player was because of the streaming options. What. The. F%& br>br>First and foremost, there is no guidance on how to access the downloadable apps. I had to figure it out on my own by going through the options in the home menu. Anyway, it's not a major issue. Second, unless I missed something while researching this before deciding to order one, there's no rule that says you can only download six apps. You can't add any more, including the Disney app, which I was planning to get. Again, it's not a big deal; I'll just have to wait until next week when my new TV arrives. Third, and most importantly, THE WHOLE SYSTEM MUST BE UNPLUGGED BEFORE AND AFTER EVERY MOVIE OR SHOW. Are you f$ing KIDDING ME ? If you try to start a movie after you've already watched one, you'll only get about 10 seconds before the entire thing freezes! To put it another way, you can't exit or turn off the box using the remote control or the actual power button on the box. Nothing! Try switching from one app to the next without watching anything; you'll have the same issue. SAME THING IF YOU TRY TO WATCH SOMETHING ON AN APP AFTER WATCHING A DVD OR BLU RAY. It's incredible. br>br>I have no idea why this stupid thing has so many 5-star reviews. reviews of 5 stars It's a piece of garbage that I'll be returning for a full refund of the nearly $100 I paid for it, and I'll never recommend this scumbag to anyone.
I purchased this unit to replace the ten-year-old original unit in our RV, which was unable to play Blu-ray discs. Discs in the form of rays We don't need it for anything other than playing Blu-ray movies. Because these are Blu-ray DVDs, any apps that come with them are irrelevant. Because of its small size, I was able to install it in an existing space with minimal alterations. The image is pleasing to the eye, and it performs as expected. I suppose only time will tell how well it will withstand the jarring of long road trips. It didn't cost a fortune, at the very least.
It appears to be 2. It will not play or use the dts sound from a DVD properly. It says there are only one channel. It was a total waste of time and money.
So I tried everything in the settings to get it to play Blu Rays, but to no avail, and I wasted far too much time trying to figure out how to get it to read my Blue Rays. Changing regions, for example. Why are there even "regional" restrictions on these things? Is it possible that the discs have no idea what region they're in? What difference does it make when it comes to this machine?.
An ethernet cable is required (not provided). Because the LAN (ethernet) cable was not included in the box, I had to go out and purchase one. It didn't recognize my network even after I connected that. I'll make an attempt to return it.
I bought the LG BP175 because I recently purchased a UHD television and the video on my current DVD player was sometimes too dark, and I have a lot of old DVDs. The LG Blue Ray/DVD player upscales DVD video data before transmitting it to the television and uses an HDMI connection rather than an RCA connection. The image quality on old DVDs has improved to the point where it is now comparable to that of any other format. The purchase was satisfactory to me.
We've had it for three months and use it every day because the virus has kept us inside. It has worked flawlessly with DVD and BluRay discs so far. There will be no freezing, loading will be quick, and the interface will be simple to use. The remote has a flimsy appearance, but it appears to be sturdy and functional. It's simple to figure out what buttons do and what they do. LG products have always worked well for me. Samsung was the last player, and it froze up frequently (almost every movie) and lasted only a year. We'll see how this one stands up to the test of time.
A DVD player of high quality! Loved it! It works flawlessly and is simple to set up. Minutes after hooking up the DVD player, I watched a movie. This is an excellent product.
