The device was out of the box until it had been charged for 8 hours, at which point I turned on POE and plugged a brand new IP camera into the port. The camera powered on, but I could not connect to the network. Afterwards, I plugged an external 12 volt USB power supply into the camera, moved the network cable to the LAN spot, but no network connection was made. In my case, I left the 12 V power on the camera and plugged the 12 V network cable into my switch on my network. Voila! A The camera tester is a piece of junk. I would appreciate it if you could let me know if I did anything wrong. Even so, I read the directions carefully and I'm sure I did it correctly.

In spite of the fact that this is the biggest monitor I've ever owned and is packed with tons of features, some of which I have yet to master, I have been enjoying it immensely. I think the construction is well done and it is a solid piece of equipment. Battery life is great. I plugged it in for most of the week after using it repeatedly for most of the week and there was still a third remaining. I have been able to use it for powering POE cameras for a very long time. In addition to the 3 year subscription, I'll need to make use of the Tech Support offered for free. The warranty. In addition, I need assistance with some features and I am confident I'll get it when I call. Thank you for making such a great product. Here are some pictures of my last job, where I tested each cable before connecting it to the DVR, and checked I think he has a very good reason for being so pleased.
