A FREE ALARM SYSTEM IN AN EXPANDABLE MODE It is possible to add up to 16 transmitters to the DCR-P A 4000 receiver can be used if you wish to monitor a larger area. This is DCMA Products from the 4000 series are not compatible with those from the 2500 and 3000 series.
As a result, the price of the 2500 is so high since they no longer make them. Since you won't be able to purchase components for the 2500 in a few months, invest in the 4000 instead. As you can see from the pictures, the 4000 receiver is smaller, it has a light and is much better built.
There are no external sensor connections, as far as I recall. I have poor memory (but can't recall things well!

Originally, I gave five stars to this product, but have changed the rating to four stars. Having had this for a few months, it was originally a great detector, but it seems it has stopped picking up on cars in front of it over the last month as well as others having reported. I have had good days, bad days and days where it just doesn't detect at all. The fact that there are no false detections is great, but the random missing detections are very disheartening since it makes it.
It was fairly easy to set up and to follow the instructions. As an additional security measure, I purchased the Arlo because I've encountered car prowlers a few times whose images were captured on my Arlo, but I was unaware that they were here. Around 6 in the evening, we were watching tv. Here are some things that shocked us I didn't realize what was going on until a neighbor stopped by and told me he chased the person away. At 30pm, it was dark outside, and our other cars were in our driveway. With the monitor set to a 50' range, I have the entire area including part of my front yard covered. My driveway is 30' wide and I have a gravel area approximately 30' wide. This little monitor has proven to be invaluable for getting notifications when a car pulls up, or when a package arrives, while we're elsewhere in the house. I was worried about the IR beam going off when people were walking their dogs or driving cars for that matter, but the beam is extremely narrow, which is great. Many people have suggested that we have had many false alarms, but that's not the case. The last three months I've only seen a handful of them (always in the daytime). The only thing I'd like to point out is that it doesn't work in the morning or when the car is cold (mainly white cars), but I do not consider this My Dakota DCMA arrived and I was so excited to use it When I adjusted the dip switches and tested the 4050, I noticed the receiver was blinking but it was not picking up audio. I contacted support after a week or so to resolve the problem. As soon as I reset it per the instructions it would not pair. Technical support (which was extremely helpful, by the way) explained that since I purchased it from Amazon, that might have been a faulty product with that issue as they received reports of it I received a new speaker in the mail, and I was able to unplug the old one and connect the new one. I would have been more than happy to return and exchange but thought for the short term, this would fix my issue since I was within my return window.
I'm driving myself crazy with this thing. The signal when it does work is nice, but I have watched cars drive directly by the detector and nothing happens. I was not able to use it. In other cases, it works just fine. Also, there have been occasions when the chime went off and no one was around. That was a bad purchase on my part.
A DIFFERENT ALARM MUST BE PURCHASED. The POS is not worth the money you spend on it. Had I heeded the low ratings, I would have avoided this mistake. *If you buy this, you should expect to experience many, many, many false alarms every hour of every day that it's turned on. In the last 20 years, I have owned three driveway alarms. It has been 1 week since I received it. Over the last week, I have experienced 100s more false alarms than I did in 20 years ago. Everything that they told me to do I have done. This is a POS, and that is the problem.
When I discovered Motion Perfect, I bought it right away. There was a failure of the company. My ad said I would be able to accomplish everything I needed using this detector. The detector is wireless, with a battery in the body and a plug-in The detector was picking up the neighbor mowing his lawn after I installed it, which I needed to adjust. This unit is one of my favorites. There are many sounds you can use with it. The sound of mine was too much like my doorbell, so I changed it. It was very easy to install and make adjustments, and it definitely fulfilled its expectations. This package arrived a day earlier than expected, and was in great shape. The company has a good reputation and I would buy from them.
This is the first in a series of three There are actually 4 recent driveway alert devices I have purchased that work! This system was only installed four days ago, but already it has detected all vehicles and pedestrians. Three other items were received at that time as well A total of 4 alerts were sent for unknown The reports could have been a neighborhood cat, racoon, etc. , or they could have been false alarms. It did not occur to me that the rubber seal between the two sections would be damaged when I disassembled the unit for programming. I spoke for a long time without ever talking to someone on the phone until I called Customer Service about a seal. If the seal on the envelope didn't exist, he offered to send As soon as the replacement seal arrived, I took the unit apart again and found there was a seal in it, but I found water as well. Adding electrical tape to the seam between the two halves was an important step tonight. I plan to use this tape until a better one comes along.
I find the music a bit dated in an age so dominated by digital technology. Simple to install.
Easy to use. There seems to have been a problem since it was visible from 1200' but failed to reach 1200'. I just did not expect to lose over 3/4 the distance between the transmitter and the receiver, which is in a metal pole building. We will try again tomorrow at the preferred location (1200' away). I will place the receiver on a window sill. Unfortunately, if that doesn't help, it is headed for the back of the line. A feature offering a choice of an external antenna for the receiver would be nice. Moreover, it would be more effective if the voice had a better tone. I guess we will find out tomorrow whether it stays or if it leaves. Please allow me to update this review if I am able to do so.
Despite being in a heavily wooded area, the ranges are SUPERB, 1200 feet from the receiver is actually a good distance. You deserve a pat on the back. It does not have a variety of sounds or chimes and the volume isn't very loud for my taste. When it is time to go to bed, I move the receiver to my bedroom so that I can be sure to hear it if it goes It can be unplugged and it does not have to be "paired" again. As far as I am concerned, this is what I need. It's Top Shelf, the variety is off the charts, and they answer the phone when you call! I have tried many different alarm brands, but this has been the best by far. Right there is a definite plus. I'd like to thank Dakota Alert for their service.
