I honestly don't recall, but I do recall that there were two of them (one with six months and the other with one year). I'm not sure which one is the right one. You can always get in touch with the seller if you have any questions.
CECH-A is compatible with CECH-B, according to their compatibility sheet. This drive is compatible with PS3 Slims from the 20** series.
I'm not sure if they're the same thing; However, I recently installed this on my PS3, which was already equipped with the KEM- 450BAA, and it worked perfectly, resolving the problem with my games not being read.

The initial issue was that no matter which game disc we inserted, the game would not appear on the screen. We tried a variety of games that we thought were good but none of them worked. We knew the games were good because we had tested them on another system, so we assumed the issue was with the PS3 system. Ours had been working fine for the previous eight years when the problem arose. So I did some research and discovered that this is a fairly common problem with older PS3 consoles. The Blue Ray DVD player breaks down. The most cost-effective solution is to replace it, but this necessitates disassembly of the PS3. There are many screws, including torx type screws, to be aware of. There are numerous resources on YouTube that explain how to perform this replacement in great detail. The first step is to figure out which drive type your computer has (there are several). This is accomplished by removing the DVD drive and inspecting the label. After that, I went to Amazon to see what I could find. Nextec has a lot of good reviews, and they even include a torx screwdriver! This is not a job for the inexperienced. Because there are so many flex cables and connectors, it takes time and patience for a techie. Some cables are simply inserted, while others are held in place by a pinch-point. A tiny lever is used to lock the connector. It took about 90 minutes for me to complete this task. I ran a quick test before putting the cover on the system, and games are now being read and displayed! As a result, I reassembled everything. It's been a week since my daughter has used it with no issues. I would purchase this part again because it worked the first time.
It's mainly for watching Blu-ray movies. Now is the time to watch Blu-ray movies. However, the last time I used it, I found it difficult to read Blu-ray discs. Disc with a Blu-ray movie Then I try again with a GT6 disc and get the same result. However, playing DVD movies was a breeze. I tried using rubbing alcohol to clean it, but it didn't work. This item was discovered on Amazon, which I am grateful for. br>br>It's fairly simple to set up. If you've ever worked on a computer before, you already know how to proceed. If you haven't done so already, take a lot of pictures with your phone so you can keep track of where everything goes. It takes about 30 minutes to complete the installation. I tested it with GT6 after reassembling it, and it immediately read and loaded the game. I put it to the test with Blu-ray discs. It also works with Blu-ray movies right away. As a result, I am content. br>br>I can't comment on the product's durability because I just installed it today. If it doesn't last, I'll update, but if you don't see any updates from me, it's still working. I will gladly purchase from nextec in the future.
In my case, the disc would be accepted into the PS3, and it would spin slightly before stopping a second later. The disc would never reach its maximum rotation speed. It would never appear as a playable game/movie in the XMB menu due to its speed. br>br>To fix this, I had to open up the PS3 (which required a special screwdriver, which was included with the purchase), open up the optical drive, and replace this specific component. Thank goodness - Because my PS3 Slim has the same optical lens, it fit perfectly, but double-check BEFORE you buy. The lens on each PS3 Slim is different. br>br>After replacing the lens and reassembling everything, my games can now be read by the system and everything works fine. It's not an easy installation; you'll need at least some experience working with electronics, and the price is a bit high when a refurbished PS3 can be had for only a few hundred dollars more, but for me - it's worth it. This was an excellent purchase that kept my PlayStation 3 from being thrown away.
I was able to remove the laser assembly from the shipped carriage's rails, move it into my assembly, and then install it back into the drive with a few extra steps, but the drive now works flawlessly and my $15 thrift store PS3 is fully functional!.
My PS3 CECH 250 1A with laser KEM-II did not work with the deck. The ribbon wires were different, so the DAA was changed to 450. I ordered the part without the PS3 being disassembled. The MFG had nothing to do with this. Removing the new laser and replacing it on my old carrier was simple. The part number can be found on a sticker on the laser's side. A sticker on the bottom of the PS3 obscured one of the screw holes in the base. Blueray 3D is fully functional once more!.
UPDATED: 1 star. The new laser assembly was simple to put together and has performed admirably thus far. br>br>The screwdriver that came with the package worked well and didn't strip any of the security screws. br>br>As expected, I had to use the PS3's daughter board to get the new laser assembly to work because it was matched to the PS3 itself. br>br>An observation about the product/suggestions for the seller: It comes with a small sticker that covers the connection, allowing Amazon and the seller to see if the device has been installed and then removed. However, because my sticker made contact with the pins, I'll need to clean them up a bit to ensure the silver tape didn't bridge any pins or prevent pins from making contact with the ribbon cable. Hopefully, in the future, this sticker will be attached in such a way that it does not rest on the pins, but rather around the connection area. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> 2/6/2016br>It's become clear that this drive isn't up to par with the one that came with my PS3. The main issue is that when watching Blu-ray movies, it reads the disc with a lot more loud clicking. My old drive made these noises while reading discs at first, but then went back to the standard PS3 hum while playing. This one makes a clicking sound every 15 seconds or so while reading the discs. br>br>As a result, I'm only deducting one star because it still reads the discs fine. I'll continue to update this review as time goes on. br>br>Thank you for taking the time to read this!.
